Well we've had Halloween, we've had bonfire night. Now is CHRISTMAS BUILD UP ROCK ON N PAR-TAY time!!!!!! Best time of the year........

Me parks vouchers have come so my Christmas shopping starts this week. I've saved £650 so that should surely be enough for lilvibe n family members. Spending day in parents n new year haven't decided.

So who's bloody exciiiiiiited for Chrizzzy cakes, midnight mass, celebrations n general build-up, party swizxle, wonderful-winterness, chestnut roasting on hot fires, hot chocccccs n Christmas is coming

I actually go sometimes to midnight mass at the nearest cathedral on Christmas eve..I just like the singing ..and the prinking before hand.

I shall be abroad as per usual in the run up..get back the day before with a few freckles and a bit of a tan. I love giving gifts..I get small mostly inexpensive hopefully thoughtful things whenever I see them over the year..most are already wrapped.
I don't like huge consumerist frenzied festive madness, the social side when people put more of an effort to meet up etc is lovely. While I usually don't ask, expect or want presents this year I really would like a Mont blanc black vintage piston filler fountain pen and some purple ink.

I shall be taking whatever fine powders I can get my hands on and I shall be eating something roasted as long as it has Yorkshire pudding and parsnips with it..

so there we have it...

I like your thinking. Christmas should be more for friends / family, small personalised gifts than all the commercialised malarky. Hope you enjoy the season, Inflo, n it's lovely seeing you posting here again <3

Awh yeah I remember that first time with lilvibe. You've many good times ahread when your lil one believes in Santa; all the many little stories you can tell them n what not. Embrace them. They speed along fast. My baby is six now n VERRRRRY tall, growing her very own lil' personality xxxx

You give fab gifts!!!! I'm still gutted the chain broke on my blue heart but I haz other chains. I keep it in my wallet for now. For safe keeping.

Christmas is just really another day here, we don't do decorations or a tree or gifts etc We get each other a card and I normally cook a Christmas dinner and thats about it. What is great though is no fn Christmas music being played everywhere you go, in the Malls etc - no Christmas movies or any of that stuff either.

Christmas falls on a Friday this year so its our weekend, other than that it would be work as usual.
 
Never mind, Beareee. We'll have a BL Christmas hejehe :) we can all pretend our IDs have a new Christmassy one, Sadie can cook the dinner, raasy is doing the singing n mindnight. Curious you're on pot cleaning duty (soweeey). Where's Kate? She can make pudding. I'll bring cake. And whi's supplying drugs / drink?

Oh and we need Santa. Ali can do that job think he'd make a good looking Santa hahahaha

I'm going to visit my parents in Ireland, because I haven't for six years now. I'm quite looking forward to it; there's a lot of family and old friends I want to see as I don't maintain phone, email, or other forms of non direct communication with anyone because I'm a bit weird like that. Juts booked my flights and a car for the week I'm there. Get a night in Bangkok on the way west and a night in Paris on the return.

I don't do Christmas out here other than meet some friends for a dinner, but do buy my kids a gift. Unfortunately I won't be taking them to Ireland with me this time; going to save that for a time of year less likely to cause the death of them and their mum by hypothermia.

Plus there would be the enormous culture shock of a rice paddy girl meeting a shower of redneck bogmen on a windy hill where people burn smoky black soil for heat.
 
The kids are with their mum for Xmas day this year which is a little shit but it just means we celebrate with them on Boxing Day.

Instead of a home cooked meal we have booked at a nice restaurant and letting some one else do the clean up. It means I get to have pudding and such when I'd otherwise wouldn't bother at home because the little lady is a glutard.

Best thing about Xmas this year is I get 10 days off where we plan to go camping with the kids at Woodford folk festival and get our hippy on.
