Not giving somebody step-by-step instructions isn't going to stop them. (That fallacy underlies most Prohibitionist thinking.) However, it is going to increase the probability of them getting it wrong and doing themself more harm than if they had done it properly.

At the end of the day, you really can't stop somebody once they've got an idea in their head. If they're insisting to do something harmful, the best you can do is show them the least-harmful way to do it.
 
i heard from a guy today whos quite high in yhe chain, big player that theres a bit of a drought atm, and theres gonna be a lot of shit around, its expected at this time of year but hopefully it wont last long, an if u know the right pepes there'l still be gud around. is anyone else noticing a drop in quality or ote lately
 
I usually pick up my subutex around 7:30am, anyway I went to the Tesco pharmacy as usual this morning and for some reason the Pharmacist decided not to turn up to work today, didn't call in and no one was aware until I started asking, the staff were completely incompetent, none of them knew what to do or who to call to get it staffed, I was a hair away from jumping the counter and going to get my subutex myself (and might have attempted this if i'd been rattling really badly). There was no way I could pick up my script and when I went in after work the "local" pharmacist they had got in last minute had already left..

I also randomly got a text from a dealer giving me their new number so ended up scoring a .5 after a horribly busy day at work with no energy, profuse sweating and intermittent panic attacks. Basically I feel like my treatment is completely fucked now. I don't plan on scoring any more H though how long should I leave it between my last hit and taking an 8mg subutex? A guy I know said the 8mg weren't blockers, i'm planning to leave it a good 12 hours at least.

I'm really really pissed off at the pharmacy, I couldn't even pick it up at another one as there was no one their for either lifeline or another pharmacy to contact. I really hope my treatments not fucked up now, you'd think they'd know people RELY on the pharmacy being open when it's supposed to be to fucking get by.
 
if you only used the gear once and you havent been using it for a good while (aka you're not at all physically dependent on full agonists such as brown, codeine etc) then you should be safe you take your next sub dose as usual.

you definitely have nit fucked up yout treatment. read into NA shit - relapse is part of recovery.

and you were left without your meds for the day....understandable that you scored. not the right thng to do, but understandable.

dont beat yourself up and keep focussed on beating that shite!

Yes, deffo a lack of good gear around this area at the moment. I know all the dealers in my town and no one has anything good. Even the neighbouring two towns only have shite also. Saves me a bit of money at least as I'm not wasting it on crap.

Haven't touched gear in a month, until tonight that is, felt it quite well.. I'd definatly say i'm addicted to buprenorphine now rather than Heroin

I live just outside Glasgow and it's been decent for a while. The guy I buy from buys a kilo at a time and sells 0.6 for £20 or a 1/16 for £50. Because he buys in a large bit at a time he has the same stuff for a while without any change in quality. It comes in quite a dark brown powder but if you get rocks in the bag they are fairly soft and you can crush them in your fingers.This is what's left of the score's worth I bought earlier:

Regarding Suboxone:

I have about 8 of the 8mg Suboxone tablets. Last week I'd ran out of Methadone and was starting to feel a bit ill. I halfed one of them and let it dissolve under my tongue. It was only 23 hours since my last smoke of kit so I was a bit worried about the sudden onset withdrawals that I'd heard that the Naloxone can help kickstart if there is still an appreciable amount of Smack in your system. I never felt any ill effects at all from taking the Subbie and about 15 minutes after taking it I felt fine and that night I got a great sleep.

I'd heard some horror stories about people taking a Suoxone only to have their body go into complete withdrawal. I guess they must affect people differently but if you have never used Suboxone before please don't take it as a given that you will start rattling severely if you haven't waited at least 48 hours from your last smack dose before taking a Sub'.
 
Yeah it called precipitated withdraw and occurs when a person takes bupronorphine too soon after their last dose (incidentally it has nothing to do with the naloxone in suboxone as this is inactive when taken sublingualy. During my recent methadone detox, after about 2-3 gweeks in I was suffering really badly and was offered low dose subs (4-8mg) from my local DSP which my gp referred me to. I was suffering so much that I cracked and accepted it but only stayed with it for 3 days as I realised it was a mistake I for me personally as I wanted to be drug free completely. On the fourth day I just didn't turn up for my titration appointment and have never been back. Obviously if I had tried to switch to subutex while still on 180mg of methadone it would have led to precipitated withdraw even after a day or two off but the 2 1/2 weeks I had refrained from taking my methadone prevented that.

While I didn't really give subutex a sufficient try to evaluate it properly I just knew it was a mistake to go down that route when I wanted to be clean. However the first 2-3weeks of acute withdrawl were stupidly tough..... Even tougher was the decision to not go with the subutex and resume those hideous withdrawals which continued for another couple of months.

I honestly think if you wanted to torture somene to get Information from them (a la the CIA or whoever) then getting them dependent on a very high dose of methadone then cutting them off overnight would be very effective as after a couple of weeks they'd tell you anything you wanted to know...... It really is that bad :(

Thanks for your info, Suboxone is something I don't know much about. It might be because my habit has never been to big that I never went into withdrawal after taking a Sub. When I first heard they can put you into a complete rattle I couldn't help think: does that not defeat the purpose. Good luck with keeping clean and staying away from everything.
 
I didn't get any precipitated withdrawal's leaving it 11 hours after my last smoke, I put that down to already having buprenorphine in my system and being addicted to it rather than heroin.
 
^^^ you also haver to remember the 1/2 life of bupe that woud still be in your system - ite the bupe that knocks the h of the receptors as it has a higher affinity.

gear round here same as ever - the white is now 'normal' i.e shit or 'creme' i.e bell ringer but .1 a tenner. got tomorrow off and a wodge going in my a/c so will b doing some shopping - cant wait been on booze and benzos for a few daze BAD HR take note but never more than 20mg and a bottle and 1/2 of of claret. plus my phy tabs which has gone from 55mg to 15mg dropping 5mg a day - so easy when you have no methadone in yer blood.

I'm wondering what the point of the Naloxone part of the Suboxone is. Is it only added to stop the nice effects of a charge of Kit?
 
^^^^to stop you shooting them - as the naltrexone is active when passing thro the b/b barrier rapidly rather than sublingually
 
I think it was Shambles who pointed out to me that the addition of Nalaxone to Bupe to block abuse potential was bollocks because Bupe has a higher affinity than Nalaxone..
