is there anyway to inject butran

The active ingredient in BUTRANS is buprenorphine. The inactive ingredients in each system are: levulinic acid, oleyl oleate, povidone, and polyacrylate cross-linked with aluminum.

Levulinic acid is probably not going to be a big problem. Povidone is harmless. The other stuff, not so much. Oleyl oleate is a waxy material that is part of the time release mechanism, it's not soluble in water and extracting the drugs from it is going to be a major challenge, it will probably just sludge up and you definitely do not want to inject the resulting sludge into your veins, good way to die or loose a limb. Polyacrylate can absorb many times it's weight in water which will pose a real challenge in making any kind of solution at all. Aluminum is potentially toxic.

So in other words, it's probably impossible, but even if you managed to get it in a works, it is potentially lethal. Not worth the effort.

Yes I am talking about the patch

Okay. Well SKL pretty much hit the nail on the head. I was prescribed Butrans once upon a time and I found it useless for pain relief. While it did seem to keep me out of withdrawal when I'd run out of my short acting med it would by itself give no pain relief and DEFINITELY no euphoria of any kind, at least for me although I have read that some people get a buzz from it but I would imagine those were opiate naive people. Expensive as hell too and we're talking at the lowest strength, my insurance wouldn't cover it as there is no generic. You'd probably be better off with MS Contin or morphine sulfate er as it's known in the generic world.
