So i take Diphenhydramine at 150-300 mgs once every night and occasionally during the day for both real reasons (insomnia) and because i enjoy it.

i know "dph is a stupid drug" and "its bad for you" but i have no connections, so actual "real" drugs are out of the question (aside from the occasional weed or benzo) (my friends neighbor has also contemplated buying poppy seeds and extracting/producing flake opium).

anyways, today I haven't had any due to being out of town and im feeling several withdrawal symptoms (general anxiety, a veerry strong desire to get high from anything, itchyness, fatigue, insomnia, etc.) is withdrawl from dph a thing? replies asap would be greatly appreciated.

I sounds like you have anxiety and/or insomnia to begin with.

Maybe schedule a doctors appointment and get something to sort out the insomnia and the agitation.

It would be ok to say you take benadryl for itchiness or to sleep as those are the medical uses. I had a doctor give me a stronger antihistamine to sleep when I was rather young. I would not admit to any drug abuse because well while what you are doing is not exactly safe I think it is more of a symptom of an underlying cause and there is really no need to go and get yourself labeled as a drug addict if you want your doctor to take you seriously.

Despite you saying you have a desire to get high on anything you do not really seem to actually be doing many drugs.

I am guessing you are rather young, but it would help if you could tell us a bit about yourself and why you abuse benadryl to begin with. I took benadryl when I was itchy or could not sleep when I was a teenager. I did not exceed the recomended dose as I really did not see a point.

I doubt you are having dph withdrawal so much as agitation or anxiety. If you are young maybe find an outlet for your stress and if it unmanageable maybe consider talking to a therapist or psychiatrist and leave out even the mj because you do not want that on your record and they won't take you seriously but they will take your money.

I have found doctors are far more helpful if you do not admit to drug abuse but maybe that is just me.

I know I would seek some sort of medical attention if I had unmanageable anxiety and in my case that is what happened. It took trying quite a few different medications but I got my anxiety under control. I did find mj helpful but if it is not legal there you may not want to take the risk.

this has possibly been the most helpful thing anyone has ever told me. seriously thank you.

You're right that i am on the young side, and i guess alot of what you say is true. I've seen one therapist in my life and while she wasn't very helpful at all, she did diagnose me with
severe anxiety/depression. Thinking back after a couple hours of thought (and alot of fucking coffee), I don't think i was in withdrawal, more like i was having a panic attack.

To answer your question, I take large doses of diphenhydramine (the generic 50mg gels, i hate benadryl solids) because I like having not to think, the way Diphenhydramine just kind of "stops" my mind. I would describe it as sort of a Benzo type dull feeling, but without the extreme suicidal thoughts that benzo abuse can bring.

Seriously though, your post has actually made me start to think. Thank you.
