gabapentin yes gabapentin
from prozac, zoloft to down right buspar <--yeah...*sigh
doc said f it lets try another approach and gave me gabapentin
100mg 3 x a day of course less or more as needed what to expect ?????
kinda left the office in a wtf state of mind
is gabapentin sub ling be a form of ROA? i smoked ciggys for 10 plus yrs my taste buds have gone to shit
i can sub a xanax like its candy to give you an example

forgot to add i hyperventilate like a son b**** she wants to give me a few weeks of gabapentin to see if it can kick my breathing back into sync or is she crazy like i think ha
my GAD has gotten better but my breathing has gone out of whack yes ive tried every breathing technique in the book none has helped one bit

Gabapentin is pretty hit or miss, some find it works great for anxiety though which I assume is the reason it was prescribed right? Only way to know what to expect is to give it a shot. Are you asking if it's okay to dose gabapentin sublingually? Oral is pretty much the only ROA with gabapentin, if it's anything like the powdered capsules I've come across it's not something you'd wanna put under your tongue anyways.

Just don't expect gabapentin to feel like overtly anxiolytic like a benzo, it's really a poor choice for acute anxiety/panic attacks as it takes a couple hours to kick in, though It's decent for GAD. Not sure if it will help with your breathing issues but if they're anxiety related, which it sounds like they are, then the gabapentin should help you if you find it an effective anxiolytic (some do, some don't). The doses you were prescribed seem small, so if you don't feel much be sure to ask for a higher dose before giving up on it.

thank you boss will take everything you said into consideration
well i thought oral and sub lingual were 2 diff things meaning oral was straight up down the hatch and sub lingual was letting it dissolve under the tongue
again i can under the tongue a xanax like nothing not even a flinch
i dont have acute anxiety but once i start to hyperventilate then i get anxiety attacks doesnt happen very often but enough to cause me to be unconfortable
i somehow have the lowest tolerance ever to any type of medication currently on xanax and .125mg is enough .25mg is way to sedating i guess im lucky?
again only got enough for a few weeks see if i can get my breathing back on track
will try it out just wondering how it stacks up against benzos in general i figured it was hard hitting like most benzos ive tried but i am more than willing to try anything at this point

I agree with plasticity. It may help with the general anxiety phenomea but for your acute outbreaks youre going to need a benzo or a non medical way to handle it like zen meditation. there are many great ways to handle anxiety. I know nothing is as comforting as a klonopin but sometimes you have to face these things to beat them . I learned this while withdrawling from klonopin and beeing up for four nights. You try to fight the pain and fear of facing yourself and your anxieties, but you eventually see in the end that the only way to get relief is to face your anxieties without drugs. Then you will escape the mind control dualistic world you are trapped in.
This advice is not meant for those experiencing anxiety from benzo withdrawal. In that case you must seek medical help. I tried to avoid it but its not possible.

I think this is good advice. Benzos are helpful short term but you have to learn to deal with it alone and meditation/mindfulness is excellent for that.

I agree that short-acting benzos like Alprazolam and Lorazepam are great for short-term relief. I'm surprised that doctors don't prescribe Phenobarbital for long-term anxiety relief. It's a Schedule IV, just like benzos, and not a schedule II like Secobarbital, so why not? I found that Pheno was more recreational than benzos, but nowhere near the same level as Seco, and anxiety relief from it is great, even when I used it for months. The withdrawals on the other hand... Worse than any benzo w/d.
