Tuna

This is true and something I have forgotten. I will wait a while after eating before walking tomorrow. I remember when I used to swim at the local pool …. the parents wouldn't allow us to swim til about 45 minutes past lunch time.

Good point about diabetes. My grandpa had it, used to have to inject insulin daily. I am vegetarian, but I DO still eat sugar and have 1 coffee in the morning. I am going to integrate more protein into my body. I'm wondering if I should eat more healthy fats too? I stay away from most fats if possible. I have not had fried food in years and don't use butter or eat fast food.

Not sure about the eating before swimming thing. The ivory towers discount it but the advice comes from decades back and from people who empiricists par excellence. I use a number of things they told me for cures and healing and they work.

Fats are good for us. We have 10's of thousands of years eating them and our bodies are designed for them. Butter is MUCH better for us than margarine, which was invented, IIRC, to fatten turkeys and it didn't work so they coloured it yellow and sold it into the human market. Fat from meat is also something the body can use, and the iron from animals is much more easily absorbed than anything extracted from plants.

No need to go the whole hog on it, but look up ketonic diet and see how they proportion the food groups. It can be an excellent way to get your body back working how it should and if you leave out the lesser caloric version of the diet, a good way to live.

Coffee is good for us... at least the espresso type or other versions made from actual beans. Instant is not. If I have instant at night I have troubled sleep, but a nice strong espresso has zero effect. (and I can prove it with my fitbit sleep patterns. :D) Sugar is not good for us, even though it is in fruit. In the fruit you also get a swag of other 'assistant' ingredients such as enzymes, that can help with the sugar - we don't get that in any form of sugar and with the exception of Stevia products (so far) the artificial sweeteners are pretty much little packets of deadly. (look up side effects of aspartame)

God, I dunno. Eat when you're hungry, to the point of satiation, not discomfort, and try to eat healthy foods, including rich sources of protein and fresh fruits and vegetables. Tuna fits into this well. I personally can't handle exercise on an empty stomach.

Thank you for the tip on the ketonic diet. I actually think my mum tried it out and lost weight. I don't need to lose weight but I could indeed incorporate more protein.

I picked up some avocados and honey instead of sugar, for starters. :)

I agree about instant coffee. Yuck! Also, I notice with espresso I don't get the jitters later like I do with regular coffee.

I had no idea. I know a lot about medications, but hardly anything about caffeine conversions.

Thanks for the tip Ebola! :)

What's wrong with legumes? Honestly, they're healthy enough to require very firm reasons to eliminate them (the base rate of colon cancer is really high).

What about if I use MPA say, once a week? Will that break down my muscles? It's so addictive.

cut sugar, grains, legumes, and dairy out of your diet for a FLAT belly
and beer if you drink it (bloats)
what's left then, besides meat?

I eat a lot of brown rice and basmati, some pasta, bread, a lot of vegetables, sometimes tofu or meat, lentils, beans, peas on a regular basis. I definately am not overweight^^

I think the body needs a good balance of nutrients and fibre. actually I believe that a lot of fibre is one of the most important things for your digestive system. I eat lots of raw vegs and lettuce.

ok i guess i gotta look at my weight lifting and eating and drugs properly. I'm gonna try my hardest to only stick to stims once a month.
Codeine as far as i know isn't bad for your muscles so that will be on occasions when i want to chill a quiet night in also when my tolerance goes down :(

Each shot of espresso contains roughly 30-40 percent less caffeine than a standard sized cup of drip coffee.

Very true. People don't always realize this about espresso.

As for the original question it would depend upon the person's weight, amount of tuna, if they put it on bread, and what else they put into the protein shake besides the protein powder supplement.

It's understandable, as espresso tastes way stronger, so people would expect it to be a stronger drink in terms of caffeine. I guess it still is by volume. :P

I heard it's good to have a protein shake vefore bed as it preserves the muscle. is this true?
