An adderall high used to mean clarity of mind, better hand eye coordination, the skills of a guitar god, and best of all no comedown.

My motivation has been lacking for a while so I got ahold of some xr adderall. This is great because I haven't been able to find adderall in over two years but the buzz has changed significantly since then.

Prior to the past few days I have only used adderall a total of four times using half of the beads in a total 2 30mg xr caps. Needless to say I have no tolerance to amp, however I had developed a small tolerance to methylphenidate in the past. I would snort a max of 70mg mph a day and 200mg in a week, so I was not using it everyday.

Adderall these days puts me into a slightly speedy frenzy where I rush things, a small amount of euphoria, motivation, and a pretty harsh comedown. My doses are half of the beads in a 25mg xr cap, taken orally on an empty stomach. This is ~12.5mg compared to the ~15mg I would take years ago, I don't think I'm underdosing. What would cause the effects to be so widely different now?

Maybe try a 70mg vyvanse. I find it smoother and it doesn't seem to have such fading positive effects that adderall has. Amphetamine in general isn't nearly as euphoric as it is the first dozen times you try it. Just make sure to not take it more than once a week max if you want to keep your tolerance low, sleep and eat well also.

Your diet and other drugs you are using plays a huge factor. Certain foods like Magnesium, Potassium, B Vitamins, really amplify these stimulants, especially if your body is really alkaline instead of acidic. Then if you have been doing or done other drugs since, remember that many drugs can permanently alter your neurochemistry, not destroy your brain, but change how it functions to a point that you cannot re-create an experience, but this is life, all of us regardless of drug use constantly have our neurochemistry change throughout life.

Likely what happened to you is you had a dopamine deficiency before and it got you to the right level, but now, your dopamine levels are higher, and thus, it turns you too speedy.

I've been suspecting increased dopamine and altered neurochemistry but I have no way to know. Over the past few months I've been dosing opiates everyday, that might play a role.

Opiates are analgesic, so they may actually play a role, but in a strange way. Because you have reduced the amount of pain your nervous system feels, that may cause you to become more speedy, as a result of you simply not feeling physical exhaustion as much as it is effecting you. My advice is to be-careful not to overdo physical activity like this, as you will pay for it during the crash.

Aside from that, opiates do raise dopamine I believe, as all the drugs effect the brain in ways far more complex than even understood by leading neuro-scientists. But an even more likely prospect is the opiates are causing you to eat a certain kind of food which raises dopamine as you enjoy it more, and if you are using opiates, you are going to be relaxing more and having fun with people and things more, thus even more dopamine, and the whole process of smoking, snorting, injecting, etc, is ritualistic and dopamine-creating, especially if you are getting high with certain people in the same place, as this creates a positive dopamine association in your brain.

You can get anti-psychotics to lower your dopamine if you really wanted to, but if you do this, do not use the adderall for a few days, even a week after, because the anti-psychotics will completely kill the effects of the speed. However, they can reduce dopamine levels enough to slow you down enough for it to be constructive, but I would not recommend anti-psychotics for this purpose because of the side effects and lowering your dopamine means you are going to be bored and depressed.

My advice instead is to take some opiate with it, any kind of downer or sedative can counteract the speedy effects of it, while allowing to mental bliss to happen without agitation.

Finally, opiate users tend to strangely have different pH levels, they tend to be more alkaline instead of acidic, as opiates make you crave a different kind of food than say adderall, which makes you crave sugary stuff during the crash, opiates tend to bring out alkaline foods like nuts and such, but not in every case.
