What to do for 1 day in Amsterdam?

Off next Sunday with mrs.buffnstuff for the day. What do you good people recommend doing for the day? Were not really weed smokers either

I am in Amsterdam in a couple of weeks and the first day we are taking a guided bike tour through the city. On average they last 2-3 hours and cost around 20 euro.

Of course I'm making sure I have a spliff in my pocket but that's just me.

Amsterdam centre is quite small so you could get a lot done in one day. I would take a canal tour, visit red light, eat pancakes at pancake corner, visit the sex museum, visit rembrandt's house, then just tour the streets and take in the vibes.

just walk around and soak up some atmosphere. the gallery of modern art in amsterdam is also great.

If it is really busy you won't stand a chance of getting in to the reichs museum, van Gough or Anne franks house unless you want to queue for ages. I would take a canal tour, wonder about a bit then go to leidsplain for drinks.

qft. The amount of adult men dressed up like lifesize penises, Super Mario's, fairies and stuff on any given weekend has hit ridiculous levels these last couple of years.

And beerbikes. I know there's a huge amount of money to be made in the tourism industry so people try to be inventive but come on.

In fact, tourism in Amsterdam has run so rampant that most people I know, including myself, avoid the city centre from friday till sundaynight.
