Hello.. I have been using Adderall (30mg) for about 4 years now, and have had to increase my intake qty to average 10-15 pills a day to get the effect I used to get.
I recently tried meth for the first time (because I couldn't refill my Adderall scrip bcuz I go thru so many) and now that I have my Adderall refill finally it doesn't seem to work at all. I literally just took 7 30mg pills at once and could take a nap.
Does anyone know if, once you do meth, the Adderall just stops working?
I cant find anyplace to get the meth again if I wanted to, so I'm lost (and tired)
Any suggestions?

Tolerance.

Take a T-Break and all should go back to normal. Though, you may not be able to judging on your level of addiction. 7 x 30mg Amp is quite a lot imo and you're just feeling to sleep??? Hmm... Stop all amps if you want your euphoria back otherwise it's impossible prob.

You can go up, but you can't go down.

If you want the best and possibly only use for amp, take no more than 10-30mg of adderall in one sitting.

Stop all amps if you want your euphoria back otherwise it's impossible prob.

If one seeks euphoria from them, the amps will never satisfy that person and euphoria will always elude them. One will always be seeking new ways to get more amps.

Tolerance is the issue.

Doing a harder drug will make your tolerance stronger so I would advise against it, especially if you take the medication for legitimate purposes. That is a very slippery slope.

I have been on pain medication for quite some time and straight up my tolerance went up and goes up faster than doctors are willing or even able to RX me medication. I actually need my pain medication for my basic quality of life and to not be in complete fucking agony.

There were times when I might have taken more than prescribed, used a different ROA, or used a different medication or a street drug for pain. Well it has not really helped the situation.

So the best thing would be to mention that you have been on that particular medication for a long time and maybe it is time to switch to something a bit stronger. I have said that and gotten a stronger medication. I do not think adderal is the strongest amphetamine there is, so if you have been getting a RX for adderal for a very long time the doctor should understand and be willing to work with you.

I had a gf who took adderal for a bit and switched to dex-amp which she said was stronger. I personally preffered the dex-amp. I am not suggesting go cop dex-amp. I am suggesting talking to your doctor.

There is also the possibility that you are taking a fuckload of amps and well they just can't solve every problem and maybe you need to rely on them less. I know that is a bitter pill to swallow so to speak. I have been there with pain management where I had what some people including the DEA considered a "dirty doctor" even though I didn't think he was and used to get a higher dose and even that doctor eventually refused to go any higher on the dose. The reasoning was mainly that I was not dying, it could kill me, and that my tolerance would be forever fucked.

My tolerance is fucked pretty bad and I have to take rather high doses of pain medication now and it fucking sucks. If you did not know the extent of my injuries and met me and knew what I was prescribed there is a good chance you might be envious but believe me I am at the point where I get absolutely no joy out of my medication other than the relief of pain and withdrawal.

It really sucks to be dependent on a medication that you experience severe withdrawal every day. I can't even begin to tell you how horrid it feels to wake up in the morning.

Personally my experience with amphetamines is that I felt like absolute shit when I took them daily until I took some. The only way for that to change was to go a while without taking it and my tolerance went down. I have had the "pleasure" of dating several women who have had some heavy duty amphetamine prescriptions and they can't function without the shit. They usually run out and feel horrid for a while and then they seem to be doing better and that is about the time they get their refill and it starts over again.

So like I said RX drugs and tolerance are a slippery slope. You might be at a pivotal point in your life when you are considering whether or not to take matters in your own hands with a street drug.

So I think maybe talking to your doctor about your medication options would be the smart move. You can always do meth or take more pills later on, but right now you could do something about this situation before you really fuck up your life. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone when I say this, but I find absolutely nothing appealing about the tweaker lifestyle.

I was wondering about few things about amphetamines. First, it's one substance that makes you really feel bad when you are coming down, it builds tolerance quite fast, and an important detail for the period you eventually have to stop taking it - you gain tons of weight!

It simply kills your metabolism. In other words, you gain lots of weight. Fat weight.
So why keep on doing it when you reached this point. Take this opportunity and quit it for good IMO.

I take 60mg vyvanse and 10mg adderall as needed as a booster. I've tried different ADHD meds and combos over the years but this has been what I've stuck with for the past year. The above posters are right, it all comes down to tolerance. It's pretty much inevitable. Try taking breaks.

I try to take 1-2 days off a week; and I'll take several days to a week off every couple of months. I basically take a break whenever I can so that the meds are more effective for when I "need" them. I actually rarely take the adderall IR anymore, usually just the vyvanse. I tend to be pretty unproductive and oversleep on the days I don't take any stimulants but I find it does make a noticeable difference in the long run.

I also take magnesium glycinate, there's some good research out there discussing amphetamine potentiation and tolerance reduction by supplementing with mag.
