Benzos - Doctor might screw me, need help

Hello bluelighters.

I'll keep this as short as possible: set to see my doctor on the 27th. I take two 10mg diazepam a day (no noticeable effect at this point - all maintenance). I only have enough for three more days if I were to take it as prescribed. I have some clonazepam - which I don't take - that I plan to use if my doctor fucks me again and fails to call in my script again, just to ask me the next time I see him "what the problem was".

So what I do on a daily basis is take one diazepam in the morning and one in the evening. At least two-three times a week I'll drink before I go to sleep (at least an hour after the second diazepam - no issues with this ever). I was essentially just going to keep my diazepam at night for the next five days and take the clonazepam in the morning. Even though clonazepam doesn't have the stupidly long half-life diazepam does, I know it's still pretty lengthy, so here are my concerns and questions:

A. Is it okay to take clonazepam and diazepam during the same day? Dosage for the clonazepam would be 0.5. (wouldn't assume not, just have no idea)

B. Would it still be okay to have my wine at night or should I just flat out stay away from alcohol while I'm taking the clonazepam even if it's the morning dose?

Answers would be appreciated. Hopefully he's calling it tonight before he's off for the week and I don't need to take the clonazepam.

Hey RodJones thanks for your post.

So basically what is happening is because you have a tollerance to the benzodiazipine Diazepam they are moving you to a stringer Benzodiazepine, Both of these medications work in almost the same way, they are anti-anxiety medications that sedate the Central Nervous System (CNS). If you have a look in google you will find there are 12 (i think) benzodiazepines that are pescribed, diazepam is the weakest and usually the first medication they will try in conjunction with an SSRI, NaSSA, beta blockers, which are simple MAOI inhibitors.

In regards to your questions, taking diazepam and cloneazepam is fine, there are no serious drug interactions except for the fact you will be wacked out of your mind, try just taking one cloneazepam first and note the effects, i dont recomend drinking on benzodiazepines as it increases the effects of this medication, on the other hand if you are looking to get high then i would be taking both diazepam, cloneazepam and having a bottle of wine (dont take any codeine as its a respitory depressant and you will die). But the trip is incredibly fun, if its purely for theriputic and medicinal uses I wouldnt be taking the cloneazepam with the diazepam it will put you on your butt.

I have been a benzo abuser for around 3 years now and have tried all of them, if you want to get the biggest boom out of them, crush them up put it into a cigarette paper and bomb it with a glass of wine or a shot of something strong =] and ill see you in the morning.

Oh just remembered, with the strength of cloneazepam be aware that the next day, you may be in a shitty mood and a bit of a D**k

Either way i hope this helps

There are a little more than 12 and diazepam is not the weakest, it's about right in the middle. Clonazepam is potent but its strength is mitigated by a long onset and long duration of action, in theory that makes it less prone to abuse than diazepam which has a significantly shorter onset. This is one reason why clonazepam is often chosen over other benzos for chronic use. Doctors also like the practical once-a-day dosage option. Abuse is still an issue with clonazepam as with all benzos but the risk is comparatively moderate.
