Ive been debating whether I should go visit someone I know in county jail...this person was the female half of my H connection, She got married to this guy a few years ago, but I have known her for about 8 years, and for a time, we were hanging out everyday, partying, not really dating, more like friends with benefits, who hung out together all the time.

Once she got married, our relationship basically got to be that of a dealer, and customer, only really talking when I hit her up for dope, but once I started copping more often a few months ago, when I lost my legal prescription, we started talking more, and met a few times for more than copping dope.

Now that shes been in jail for almost a week, Im finding myself missing her, I want to go visit her, but I dont want her husband to find out I visited her (he is in the same jail, but obviously the male section)...I know they are separated, and while Ive never been in jail, I do suspect he could possibly find out somehow, and he may get suspicious. I know him fairly well, I met him after they got engaged, but I never really got to be good friends with him, more like just an acquaintance, 99% of the time, when I copped, I would text her, and she would be the one meeting me, Im not sure, but I think he had her going out to meet and deliver all the shit, and he pretty much dealt with re-upping and he would ALWAYS weigh out, package and get all the bags ready for her to go on a run, he would stay at home though.

The few times me and her met for more than copping, I got a room at this motel nearby, I will admit, it felt great to be with her again, after so long, I didnt love her or even desire to be in a real relationship with her, we were both content with how our 'friendship' was. Since I was copping dope almost every day, it gave her an excuse to meet me/text and talk to me daily, and her husband thought nothing of it, although the time we had in the motel was limited, as she was kept EXTREMELY busy with other customers...I couldnt believe how many texts she got just during the times in the motel, she was constantly meeting people, going to pick up bags to deliver, dropping off money so she wasnt driving around with an insane amount of money. LOL

Im also thinking I should NOT go visit her, and just accept that shes going away for awhile, and deal with it, after all, I was a paying customer, my cell number is all over both of her phones, plus Im not sure if the jail records or even keeps track of conversations between prisoners and visitors, I wouldnt want to accidentally say something I should not!

Im curious what you all think I should do.

sounds like a lot of trouble... i wouldn't visit

if you're concerned about your phone, get rid of it

I'm of two minds about it: on the one hand jail is a horrifying place and a terrible reality to endure, no matter where you're incarcerated, and everyone who's close to you deserves solidarity in that place (assuming that she's genuinely your friend and not just a drug connect/someone to get fucked up with). On the other hand as a former customer I'd try to sever all ties to someone who got recently got burned selling dope & forget those people even exist, plus visiting correctional facilities is just depressing. So it's your call. The suggestion of writing a letter first seems like a good idea to me.

It wouldnt do any good to do this or to get a new number, my current number/phone can still be linked to me, even if I get rid of it, thanks to cell phone records...damage is already done in that regard.

Yea, I like the idea of writing a letter first, and I will ask her what she thinks about visiting, her lawyer may not want one of her customers visiting her, and I definitely dont want it getting out that we were more than that.

I feel really bad for her, not only because shes going thru H w/d, there is also NO cigarette smoking in jail anymore, so shes w/ding from that too...on top of that, she had her car, house they just bought and ALL the cash they had in their house seized by the drug task force...PLUS facing trafficking charges...I could not imagine going thru all this at once!

I would leave the situation you are in a good spot to cut and run which you should. It sucks but eventually you will want to move on with your life and maybe you should start by not visiting people who are on pending felony charges. It just seems like a lot of trouble to go see a new defunct drug dealer even if you were a little bit like friends. Thats just my opinion but I never care about my drug dealers even those i made fake friends with.

Your not in CT are you? I only ask because I know a couple that had a similar set up and recently encountered problems too.

OP you kind of gave too much detail about the situation... might be snitching, she could be trying to appeal etc.
I dont think I mentioned too much, never said what state this was, or what city.

Im not in CT btw.

I don't see anything wrong with emotionally supporting a friend who has fallen on hard times. They where obviously more than dealer client in the relationship.
