Morning folks! First few days off and the flat to myself after a solid few weeks of working.. and am rather appreciating it. Hope y'all are well.

I have two females so there's not too much pissing out of the cage. They haven't defecated when out of the cage since they were little squirts either.

I used to breed mice and hamsters when I was a wean for a bit of pocket money.

Aww. Rats are great but get some ferrets, you won't regret it. And when I was young and asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said "gerbil breeder". Always been the ambitious type, me.

haha - I used to have a Hampster. All joking aside - were going to get a kitty . Tips n advice etc ? Never had one before so - go with a random from the local shelter, or buy a pedigree ? (cost/price is not an issue) Where FG and his Charles ? Actually where is FG ?

Get a rescue.. much more rewarding thing to do, and the rescues tend to have an idea of the cats' personalities so they'll suggest one that suits you.

We got oor Seamus second hand from Gumtree (still a kitten). So he's kind of adopted, but we don't tell him that.

I personally wouldn't spend extra on a pedigree when there are so many other cats looking for a new home.

Ahh look at the wee baby Seamus!

When our last cat died, we were going to get a pedigree but reckoned that some repro around here would stroke him from us.

If I was getting a new cat now, I'd get the Asian leopard cat crosses that have gained popularity; a bengal cat, cheetoh or ocicat. They look class and are full of energy. However, I think they may just have an upper hand in bullying the neighbourhood cats. I also think there would be quite a few more dead critters brought in the house.

I would like to say I don't know what brought me on but it was really just that I was feeling a bit soppy after a dream, so I decided to come on and check when someone had last signed in. It was someone who set up an account to spy on me but never actually posted lol. Sad of me, yes.

Aye life's not too bad. I have a certain degree of clarity which is always appreciated :D Although, I swear that I've never been sick as often as I have since quitting smoking.

What about yourself? Obviously there's joy a plenty with wee Seamus lol. Still digging the prayer flags?

When I was a kid my friend accidentally killed one of her kittens by putting it in the washing machine.

I remember being at a house party of a guy who had loads of kittens that were just starting to run about (it completely stank). Some guy arrived and came through the living room door with two crates of beer. He proceeded to trip over one kitten and drop a crate right on top of it. T'was heartbreaking.

Still partied on though.

IV Paractamol ? Is that a thing? Shambles (You will know) I had to go hospital last night (not kitty related) the doctor told me I needed pain meds - they come in with the usual saline bag/kit but they had a bottle of something that was unsure of. When I questioned them - they said it was paracetamol? They wanted to hook me up, and IV /drip it !

Aye, prayer flags a gogo :D + lotus and enough Om chanting to waken Felix Nice to see you about and doing well. Quitting smoking is the dogs balls, I've just recently fallen off the wagon after 3 years Blame it on Italy....

I'm not sure - only if you want to be. I recommend it but appreciate its not for everyone!

Yes, I learnt the love of smoking cigs again in Liguria recently, bloody place. Apart from shagging, eating and drinking it came in as a 4th pursuit rather nicely

Standard procedure to give people IV paracetamol. It's really good with helping regulate body temp so it's used really commonly in hospitals.
