Nope. Trainer / sports shop staff are generally like that. I've actually been scowled at whilst attempting to purchase a pair of Sambas.
Poor you, that's an awful sitation to be in.. but yeah, you do need to think of your kids here, and it sounds like the drugs really aren't worth it. Though, is there no way of finding a compromise with your missus?Stood my ground for days saying I’ll continue to dabble outside the home environment.
Gonna cost me everything if I continue this stance.
Backed right down on it this morning as got kids and can’t possibly have that on my conscious if I let everything fall apart.
I still constantly feel a huge urge to pee, but when I go to the fucking toilet, I can't!
Fckn amphetamines!
fucksake man, took my car for an MOT and it failed on a loose anti-roll bar and worn bushes, and loose handbrake.
The parts were cheap, and tester advised me to just put them on myself as it only takes a few minutes. Well I am very busy and needed the car, so I thought if it takes just 5 mins to put on i'll get a garage to do it properly and be charged an hours labour. 2 if they're being cunts.
£115 in total they charged me to put them on!!!! (And this is excluding parts, I supplied them myself) I think the mechanics industry needs regulating more heavily, this is ridiculous I pay this for a job that took 10 minutes max.
You are fucking deluded if you think that that amount of money is a rip-off. All of those parts are genuinely important bits of your car's safety, performance and handling, and fitting/fixing any of them isn't a trivial task to be undertaken by an amateur.
I honestly can't imagine any mechanic advising a punter to attempt to deal with any of those issues themselves. For what purpose? That'd just lose them money and probably cause their business to look bad when something inevitably goes wrong.
I put it to you that you are talking shite about one or more aspects of this story. No offence.
