Hey quick question for any of you medically inclined folks. I'm an opioid addict, and I've been experiencing some alarming effects lately after I dose. I havn't really been changing my dose too much 75 to 100mg hydrocodone twice a day. Problem is I've been spending a lot of time throwing my guts up usually about 2 hours after I dose. I just don't understand why this is suddenly happening. I do CWE probably half the time basically any time I have the chance, and I take NAC to boost glutathione to protect my liver from the Tylenol that I do take. So what could be causing this. The way it usually happens is I'll take my dose then go smoke a cigarette or 2 once I feel it kicking in. I'll get intense stomach pain that is usually temporarily alivieated by having a couple of bites to eat. So after a couple hours of fighting the stomach pain I almost always now get sudden nausea and throw up. have I fucked myself up? What could be causing this? I know the pills are somehow related, but I'm concerned I may be damaging organs. So any ideas sorry if I rambled on I'm pretty high right now having a hard time making this cohereant and readable.

See that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid is going to the dr. He cut me off my script 2 years ago when my wife told him I was abusing then. He then referred me out to pain management where I am given a pathetically small supply of norcos monthly. I just don't want to get my situation more fucked because of a health scare that could be nothing

Are you one of the people who essentially wait till there stomach is completely empty before dosing? What your describing sounds pretty close to what happens to me if I take opioids on an empty stomach, and what happens if I smoke a cigarette on an empty stomach... combine the two and you have a pukefest (not to mention the combination of tobacco and opioids can also cause nausea).

Making sure you have a little something in your stomach before dosing and following this with a decent sized meal around the hour mark. It not only helps nausea, but increases absorption. If you already do this then avoid cigarettes for the duration of the high. If this still doesn't help then I don't know what to tell you. I doubt this is in any way related to organ damage if your not puking without opioids but it doesn't hurt to get checked out for peace of mind.

Fair enough I just don't understand why it's been like this lately it's not like it's a new habit

I don't know man but 75-100mg of hydrocodone sounds like 4.5-6 GRAMS of acetaminophen to me if you have 5/300's or whatever it is. That's a very large, vomit inducing amount to me. That could definitely be doing some lasting damage to your body if you are only doing CWE "whenever you can". Idk man, I would see a doctor. Especially if you're only prescribed small amounts a month.

Im gonna agree that this is the probable cause.
APAP makes me feel queezy even at 1g.
And yes, there is a very real chance you have done some lasting damage if your regularly taking larger doses.
Imo,get your self to a Dr. , better safe than sorry.

Yes of course. To your liver. You can only have 1.5 max per 24 hours, but not 24/7.
It really gets your liver hurt and you don´t feel it now. It comes much later when it´s too late.
