hahah just noticed that. last time I did G I had about 7 or 8ml in the evening, got 2 hours sleep and woke up feeling like death with the same symptoms Dan. I hadn't drunk any booze for a couple of years either so it hit me doubly as hard I think.

Aye, I used to have to take a hefty dose for sleep and waken up a few hours later - when things were at its worse with G. I also used to experience tummy and tail problems with it. I appreciate many don't but some of us fragile snowflakes do

Maybe Dan took more of it/has less of a natural tolerance than i do, as it didnt make me feel ill during my brief stint, apart from a pain in the bladder on one occasion after pissing so much and some rumblings in the stomach. Kratom probably helped keep all that solid.

Different topic of gibber: im getting myself all confused and mixed up with my cvs and covering letters. Ive now got so many different versions for different types of jobs and ones taylored for agencies that its becoming confusing to find and keep all the right bits together. Time for some more sub,sub,sub folders in my documents folder i think. Gonna be bombing them out to all and sundry next week. As i was employed until recently i still feel like i have a bit of momentum, and the longer it goes without having a job the more difficult it will become to get one. As it stands at the moment, ive only been unempoyed since October which doesnt look too bad atall.

You've done a great job there in updating and expanding on Knock's work to include all the newer topics, and expanded it out to be more all-encompassing. Give yourself a Gold Star and a Blue Peter badge for your lapel. It really will be useful as i never had much luck finding things using the BL search engine, and was resorting to google searches suffixed with bl.org with very mixed results.:D

That sounds like the killer part. It seems like I spend half my life on coaches recently, I usually end up with some fat asshole next to me when every other seat is empty, they usually get delayed and they're just generally shit and when I finally get off I feel half dead and spaced out.

Note that if you are buying cold remedies, eschew anything containg phenylephrine and ask for pseudoephedrine instead.

The former was withdrawn from the general sales list, and made available in pharmacy only, on account of the fact that the latter -- a powerful decongestant, which relieves inflmmation of the sinuses -- can be used as a starting point for synthesising methamphetamine, if and only if you are not bothered about yield or purity. Which might have been a Good Thing, if not for the fact that phenylephrine has absolutely no decongestant properties whatsoever and was outperformed in clinical trials by placebos.

Avoid especially any "day and night" pills which contain paracetamol and phenylephrine in the "night" pills, and paracetamol, phenylephrine and caffeine in the "day" pills. The real Day and Night Nurse -- of which these are but a pale imitation -- are gel caps which contain paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and pholcodine in the yellow and orange "day" pills, and paracetamol, promethazine and dextromethorphan in the green and white "night" pills.

pseudo can be used to synth other fun things too, like methcathinone. I don't hold much sway with OTC cold/flu remedies, paracetamol and some green tea with a slice of lemon in it is nice. That and strepsils.

and I fucking love DXM. Pity I can't seem to find a domestic source anyomre. Used to be good for those days where nothing else is around.

I don't like pseudoephedrine... makes me feel sketched out even on the recommended doses. I guess I could try halving a tablet though...

I always thought it was rather silly making it OTC only in the UK considering crystal meth really isn't that common over here, or at least it's use is not publicized very much. I suspect the Poles or eastern Europeans at least are known to like it though, so the influx from those countries to here may have led to a surge in methamp in this country. Surely that was after it was made OTC only though?

I don't really know though, would be interested for someone to inform me of said things.

in countries like greece where you can buy loads of cool stuff OTC, there is a bit of a methcat problem, because its so easy to synth. But I guess that sort of discussion isn't allowed here muhahah.

Technically doesn't involve psuedoephedrine but the "Day" version does so is close enough for me to mention the time a friend of mine ate an entire pack of NightNurse caps and was sick through his eyes. A sight to behold and no mistake.

HR FACT!: Don't eat that many of any of the "Nurse" formulations as they are high in paracetamol and he frankly should've died. We took vomiting through the lacrimose glands as sweet, sweet mercy.

Disclaimer: This was pre-interwebz age when even basic knowledge of what OTC (and other) stuff will likely kill you was scant at best. The Age of Extreme Experimentation had its moments but is best left well behind.

I think I mentioned somewhere I really hate phenylephrine. It doesn't work at all for me.

I called NHS 24, and they said that therapeutic doses of pseudoephedrine should be fine for me, even with my seizure disorder, so I called my father and asked for some. I used it (therapeutically - afaik it has no recreational value to anyone but 12-year-olds after a placebo tweak) before I developed epilepsy, and it worked for me then.

Cold here too, though I live pretty far north. I used to live pretty close to the Arctic Circle, and it would be dark almost all day in the depths of winter. The short days really get me down.
