Gibberings CLXXXI - Is it Christmas yet?

Mornin' Folks! :)

It's simple really... warnings carry no points. Infractions carry 1 point... 2 points gives a 24 hour ban. Bans get longer for each point you have. Points last 1 year.

We might give multiple warnings, or equally we might go straight to an infraction... first port of call is usually a PM for less serious things though. Bear in mind when we unapprove posts it doesn't always mean that you broke the rules as such i.e. if people are all commenting on a post breaking rules that is sourcing we might disappear it all.

Bans and the Infraction System

Just got a letter from the dvla asking me if Ive done lsd, crack, heroin the last 3 months. "Nah m8 couldnt get any of the good blotters'

CUNTS. Persecuted for life.

'Int he past 6 moniths have you misused illicit drugs? Please give details'

FUCK OFF

Ehhh? What on earth prompted them to ask you that? And would anyone admit to it anyway?

Sounds like the entry card you get on a plane shortly before landing in the US. Questions like "are you a terrorist?" and "have you come to the USA in order to carry out moral turpitude?" :D

Questions like "are you a terrorist?"

I wonder what would happen if you ticked "yes". A complimentary trip to Guantanamo Bay I guess. ;)

When I went there by myself when I was 17, they weren't happy that I didn't know where the person I was staying with lived bar the fact it was near San Francisco... just had a number. :p

Hah, that happened to me too when I landed in New Orleans in 2003. I was gonna be staying at an oil service base and was being collected, so I had no idea what the fucking address was. The angry big mama at immigration eventually took her hand off her sidearm and calmed down from "OMG he must a fucking terrorist" mode, and between us we invented an address that sounded feasible. What a fucking joke. Security theatre at its most ridiculous. It took about three hours to get through the queues at immigration.

THey also asked if i have a tattoo. because obviously that would interfere with my ability to drive safely. This bullshit is because 3 years ago i fell down some stairs, banged my head and it caused a seizure. They found some desoxypipradrol in my pocket so marked it down as being drugs related. utter cunts.

I have heard some right nightmare storeis about american immigration. Never want to visit the place myself.

To play devil's advocate for a minute, you can kinda see how they arrived at the conclusion it was drug-related, can't you?

If I were to inexplicably pass out with a wrap of smack and an uncapped needle in my pocket, I'm pretty sure people would surmise that my unconsciousness had something to do with the smack. Even if it turned out to be heatstroke.

I tripped and fell down some stairs, just an accident. I wasnt high at the time. I was about to go to bed. Just had the baggy in my pocket when i was found lying in a pool of blood so they jumped to conclusions....and now im marked for life it seems. They made me go for a blood/piss test last year, and just fyi you can do 3-meo-pcp a coupke days before a test and it won't show up :P

Do you carry around a bag of desoxy as a matter of principle, or is it fair to say that its presence in your pocket might strongly imply the possibility of you having used it recently? To say nothing of the fact you'd just fallen down a flight of stairs?

Having just spent an hour filling out the DVLA form I am not ni the mood to talk about it anymore.
