I've stumbled across this chemical name - something related to ethylphenidate maybe? Apparently it's being used in vendor packaged stuff. Is it another name for something commonplace, or some slight variation on one of the standard ingredients in that sort of packaged crap?
It looks like gamma-conhydrine acetate, which is a poisonous hemlock alkaloid. It's not related to methylphenidate and is something I would not want to consume.

Great info thanks. Seems quite likely to be a typo to me as a friend consumed a gram of a branded powder that listed this and benzocaine. He seemed fine and said it was qualitively the same as ethylphenidate, so it seems pretty likely that's is what it actually is, and some muppet got the label wrong. Pretty much all uk branded crap is based in eph, mpa and benzocaine or similar. I might have a word with this particular vendor, but in the meantime I agree that this is one to avoid like the plague in case it actually does contain this poisonous substance.
So I did approach the vendor about this and showed him the empty bag listing the 2-(2-piperidinyl)ethylactate.
He pulled out an identicle looking bag ("new batch" apparently) that listed 2-(2piperidinyl)ethylphenylacetate instead.
I left brimming with confidence that whoever is putting this stuff out are expert chemists with the best interests of their customers at heart. Not that I would go near this stuff in any case, but out of curiosity is this second chemical likely to be less shitty, relatively speaking? Because if not I'm thinking I might make a thread on a UK site where discussion of vendors and branded blends is allowed warning people about this particular stuff. Doubt it'll make much difference, but hopefully it might put a couple of people off from sticking 'a poisonous hemlock alkaloid' up their nose in the name of recreation.
Almost makes you think proper drugs should be legal doesn't it? But that's for another thread and board...
Well don't I feel silly - I could have figured that out myself without taking up more of your time.
I don't feel quite as dumb as the dude who erroneously listed a poisonous chemical as an active ingredient on a whole batch of rc powder packs, but still pretty dumb nevertherless.
Thank you so much for your time sekio, I really do appreciate it and hope you have a great day.
