Who else thinks Valium is worthless?

i know some people think Diazapam is a good drug but to me its worthless. i have tooken up to 120mg at ONCE barely felt anything i was a lil tired but thats all. and the half life is supposed to be so long why did it seem like the next day it was gone? now give me 6mg of xanax or klonopin and im all over the place blacked out and everything. Why is this?
 
I have always despised benzos and will never understand their appeal. They make me tired and forgetful, but nothing else. No euphoria, no ability to get things done or have a good time. They are just sleeping pills with horrendous withdrawals and a disturbingly negative impact on my memory (my memory is near perfect I can almost always remember everything i experience/learn very clearly, even when baked or drunk or whatever, but benzos reduce my ability to remember things to almost nothing, thus essentially causing me to blackout if I take any decent amount of them). In short, IMO benzos are a piece of shit drug with no recreational value and are simply high dependence liability sleep aids with horrendous side effects. I hate everything about them and refuse to touch them ever again in my life (I've tried them only twice, once while drunk, despised them both times).

Well i have horrible anxiety that keeps me from doing everyday things and sometimes trapped in my house, benzos to me are God sent. i choose them medicinally and recreationally over any other drug in the world.
 
Out of interest, do you find it to have no medicinal value either or just no recreational value?

Maybe your benzo tolerance is just too high...

it has a little bit of medicinal value, just like not enough if that makes sense? i prefer klonopin over all because of its half life and strength. i can take 3mg and have no anxiety for over a day and everything is great. now for rec purposes i prefer a couple xanax bars haha. i know i have some benzo tolerance but its not to much like i use benzos once a week usually but have been using them for 2 years now sometimes i used for 2 or 3 days at a time other times not using them for a solid month
 
depends on the type of Valium... .Roche Brand valium blister packed from Pakistan are about as potent as any 2mg klonopin I've ever had... they give me a nice nearly euphoric head buzz when I'm stressed
 
Benzos are not really euphoric for me. At low doses, keep me calm and at higher doses help me sleep.
My doctor used to give me valium as a muscle relaxant to take at night and it really helped.
 
120mgs & you felt nothing? Seems you got some weak Valium.......

Valium works the best for me & it synergizes opiates perfectly.

Valium two times a week 3 days apart is perfect & keeps the tolerance way down.

I dont believe manufactuer matters one bit. i had the teva brand yellow 5 milligrams. yeah i took over 23 of those. vallium does not get me feeling the way every other type of benzo does must be the chemical formation
 
Klonopin to me is the king of benzos, though Halcion was great too but I always found Valium to be among the most euphoric of them. I even used to snort them and got some real good highs off them. We all know different chemicals affect people in different ways.
 
I find that benzos are only really recreational if you have issues with anxiety. I do, and when I take benzos all of the sudden all my anxiety melts away. It's so uplifting. . Not really a "physical" high, rather, a psychological high.

Me too.My crippling anxiety and frequent panic attacks make my life unliveable without my Xanax.It's so bad that I require high doses just to function(2mg 4x a day).And they're great recreationally as well if I take a few days off (using alcohol to combat the anxiety) and then taking 10-20mg in a single dose.Nothing else has ever worked and I've been on a plethora of medications for this.120 mg of Valium is only 12 blues and that's not a bad recreational dose,I prefer more but 120-150 mg has me feeling pretty nice(provided I take the few days break from benzos) and I have a monster benzo tolerance.I find Klonopin to be useless as it can take up to 2 hours to reach theraputic levels in your bloodstream,that's a long time to freak out waiting for pills to kick in,and they're released so slowly into your bloodstream that they never do really seem to have much effect IME.As far as Valium goes,the quality of generic diazapam varies widely.Especially those green 10mg ones stocked by Walgreens.They come on like normal but the effects disappear in about 20 or 30 minutes.The name brand,V-cut ones made by Roche that say Valium on them are the best but I've had good luck with some generics like the light blue Teva brand.I had a doctor who once explained why this occurs.He said that pharmaceutical companies sometimes cheat and make what is essentially"benzo stew"(his words).He said that when he urine tested some of his patients who got their prescriptions filled with generics the results would come back with 3 or 4 different benzos in their systems and none of them were diazapam or it's metabolites like nordiazepam,temazepam,etc...That's why he's a stickler for name brand only Valium.This makes me wonder if the OP got some kind of shitty,benzo stew generic diazepam.

I agree with ovo about Xanax being much,much better,medicinally and recreationally,but I do enjoy Valium provided the dose is high enough.I also agree with his/her point about benzos being a God send.For me it comes down to a quality of life issue.Different strokes for different folks I guess.
 
I've never met a benzo that I enjoyed. I really don't get it. They are sleeping pills, I take any of them, I sleep in about an hour. If I struggle through it and stay awake I feel like a fucking brain dead dummy. I take a drug called gabapentin that has a similar effect, but much more mild, and it helps greatly with my nerve pain and anxiety issues. I feel like there's value in these drugs as a medicine for certian people, but I think in general benzo's are too fucking powerful for most people unless they are after something that makes them do nothing and think nothing.

Whatever, I like LSD, which is like the direct opposite of benzo's. My perspective may be biased a bit lol

1) Stop dick sizing, no one cares
2) Half life doesn't dictate duration of action
3) Lists always come in 3's

Valium is an OK benzo in my opinon, I prefer etizolam, pyrazolam and flubromazepam. In my opinion, benzos are different to other drugs because you can be heavily addicted to them without them fucking up your shit. The therapeutic effects of benzos outweigh the negatives for many people. They are abusable, but they're not gonna give you some mad high. Good for comedowns, withdrawal is a nightmare. Also good for say, a first date.

I once gave 2mg etizolam to a friend. He had never tried benzos before but he smokes weed daily and does ecstasy, speed, coke. His exact words were "You know, I feel something, but I can't explain what it is. But I can definitely see the attraction."

And yes benzos are euphoric, especially when you're really anxious.

Yeah and that'll only last so long.. i used to be addicted to xanax due to stress, i either had a blotter or a pill under my tongue all day, the effects end up being shorter than weed and the withdraw is horrible...

So i swapped to diazepam, which is a decent mellow buzz on 20mg+ and lessens your anxiety, but only if you keep you tolerance low and don't eat them like candy.. if you're just craving a stronger high then go for something else than valium...

I'm on mogadon/nitrazepam now and it feels slightly more hypnotic and sedating per mg, but probably not what you are hoping for.
 
Footnote: Free advice is worth what you pay for it.

My 2 cents: I've been on Benzo's for PTSD and mood control issues due to a hectic family life for well over 5 years, progressing from 1mg xanax 1 time / bid, to now QID Librium 25mg + 3mg xanax ER 24 hr tablet. Have gone on 4x 2mg Xanax before with the 24 hour as well, and Klonopin as well, max dose, QID. If it's not your tolerance, then I would suggest trying the sublingual formula. That's what they dispensed for me when I was going to be very uncomfortable for a full MRI of my whole spine [cervical to lumbosacral.] They greatly helped, and even after what was then a 5-6 year tolerance, I found within 30 minutes it had my worries gone, and I was actually having a very light-hearted, funny conversation with the radiologist. So as someone with a high, high benzo tolerance, those are the only two things I can suppose are at play here. Also, be careful taking 120 mg of valium at once ... most EXTREME cases see 80mg in a day, for extreme PTSD and thinks of extreme nature. And even then, that's a temporary dose that gets tapered as soon as the immediacy of the event passes.
