I'm sort of curious about oxolinic acid. I also wonder about the human dose range of oxolinic acid. It's like a novel cognitive enhancer that's a combination stimulant and antibiotic. It seems non toxic, but the fact that oxolinic acid acts primarily as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor worries me. It would probably be as addictive as speed. Maybe a lower dose of oxolinic acid stacked with DMAA would be safe. Oxolinic acid is probably dose dependent so lower doses may be safer than higher doses. I usually would play lab rat, but I would probably wait years to see how other humans react to oxolinic acid before I play lab rat. Anyone ever tried oxolinic acid? What's your experience with it? Who wants to play lab rat and try oxolinic acid? It's pretty affordable if bought in bulk as fish treatment or something, but I don't have enough cash and would rather try to get DMAA or phenylpiracetam.

Not to mention promoting antibiotic resistance is a bad idea in itself.

This.

There are dozens of legal and illegal--all easily accessible-- dopamine releasers and reuptake inhibitors. If you want to pursue that route towards cognitive enhancement, choose a more tested-and-safe chemical. Otherwise, This doesn't seem to offer anything particularly compelling.

"cognitive enhancer"? For all I've read about it it's just another euphoriant, because it is selective for DA reuptake inhibition it lacks most physically/mentally stimulating effects typical of e.g. methylphenidate.

People have tried it and its other related analog, amfonelic acid. But because it's relatively uncommon and expensive it's not something that is going to be financially sustainable for daily usage.

It's not suitable for daily use primarily as it is a potent antibiotic at active doses for DARI related effects.

Notably a DARI can indeed be a cognitive enhancer, within enhancing focus, diligence, and vigilance, especially within those with any degree of a lack thereof.
DA acts as a powerful regulator of different aspects of cognitive brain functions, so for many it certainly can be a cognitive aid.
