Last month i got my prescription switched from Ritalin IR 20's (which worked amazingly but made me so jittery it was hard to press the right keys on my computer) to Adderall IR 10's. A week after the prescription switch, i tried the Adderall for the first time but ended up with some new side effects i found to be even worse. Took a while before i got the courage to try that again but eventually i did when i ended up waiting until the last day to get started on a school paper i was assigned. This time there was no side effects that i could tell, but i feel like the Adderall also didn't help me with the studying at all, and i didn't get any of the recreational effects i keep hearing about either. It didn't even keep me awake and i fell asleep a couple hours after taking the pill. So, i've come to the decision i'll be asking for either Dexedrine or my Ritalin back next time i go in for a med check-up but this still leaves me with a 3/4 full bottle of Adderall. I may try taking two when school ends to see if that works at all but i also got another idea when i was taking my vitamins tonight.
Does anything change if you crush up an IR medication and take it in powder form? Or since it's already an immediate release would it not make a difference? Because i remembered i still have some normal gel capsules in my room that i can crush the adderall and put in there but i wanted to ask if it would even make any difference if i was to do that. I have a mortor and pestle so i can crush it up really fine but is it even worth the effort? Thanks for any answers.
