I simply can't keep up with the pace of EADD these days, what with all the morphine and trying to actually work on some meaningless shizzle for work at the same time, your just going ot have to put up with my responses coming after a dozen other bits of internet discourse have taken place.

I'm some what impressed that you not only recall I have my precious Lambretta in Soviet military style but that I also loath the use of wing mirrors of any type, they are the work of Beelzebub along with any other chrome accessory or other comedy mod tat.

In answer to Evey's question, nope they are going to open the whole thing back up in October time make a cut in my tibia place a wedge of synthetic bone graft stuff and put in a new metal plate. This should correct the misalignment and once it heals it should be ....better than it is now.

In fairness I broke it it good and proper :D

PM exchange is probably due; I just find it hard to talk about 'personal' stuff these days without sounding oddly detached. Which beats mental, I guess, but some people feel like I'm holding back. I'm not, it's just that I'm still getting used to stuff.

Plus plenty's gone on! Which I expect is the same for you. But please. don't think I'd ever forget yer bloody scooter, man! ;)

OMG Allein you're going through a lot with this leg of yours. I don't envy you at all.
I do wish you all the luck with it and that it gets better after all of this. How long will it take to recover in October? It's good that you have an understanding employer

It will be about 3 months before the bone will have filled in and I'll be able to bear full weight on it, it's got to be done.

My employer has been pretty reasonable, although I can do much of my work from home, as I've got remote access to the company network and all the techy shite required. TBH they've been trying it on a bit and I had to have a word with HR last week, my boss came out to thee house for a meeting and we have now agreed a more reasonable expectation of what I can and can't do,

Driving is the big issue, in truth I could drive my automatic car today but I'm not up to all the physical stress of getting in and out of the car, I can walk round the house un aided with a metal brace thing on my leg but any distance requires a wheelchair, I use crutches a bit but they are useless, you can't carry anything, it's really hard work and I could fall and really fuck myself over.

It's interesting using a wheelchair, clearly I know I wont be in it forever so I don't have that perspective but it is fascinating thee different ways people react.

You've an ace attitude considering you're going through all that. I think I'd be feeling sorry for myself, but then again I love walking. I used to have a lot of friends in wheelchairs and tried going in one once, was actually quite frightening. They're not as easy to use as they appear. Yes people do change when you've a "disability" or appear to have one. People used to talk about me to other people when they knew I had a visual impairment and then complained because I was very "moody" with them LOL.

You're still the same person but it is quite remarkable how differently people will treat you.

Hope this doesn't come across as patronising but I admire the way you're dealing with all this - and good on you for talking to your employers, it would be silly taking on more than you can handle - it would just, I assume, make you feel down if you weren't able to achieve it - and your employer annoyed. At least now you're both happy and you'll feel ok knowing your doing what's needed, within appropriate limits.

As far as I'm aware Underbelly never was released, which seems a shame, because it looks really well done. Looked more like a documentry though. But nuff respect to DDS Crew, what 20 odd years of Bombing trains. DDS are as real as they come. Londons white trash is a great flick. But was fucking hard to get hold of. Just have memories of Bombed buses, nice and dirty. I had a great film of UK on my youtube, it was rare as fook, but YT took it down, and I can never remember what its called.

I didn't know that. Mind you, I just use mine to read books because you can increase the font n 'tis ace - and to check my eurrrmmm not-so-good bank balance LOL... Love them but they're annoying to use the forums with, much prefer my laptop for that - or my iPhone if I'm out n about.

Eve - the Ipads cut out so quickly when using in a hot place (I think its around the 100 degree range). They really suck up the heat and are worse if you have them in a case :D
