tea tonight was shocking - couldn't be bothered to cook/or dishes. Tuna mayo made in, and ate out of the can and an omelette made in a take away carton in the microwave.

No photos were taken :D

You should be ashamed x

veggie in here, who knows any decent quorn dishes i can make for protein intake mainly.. i had veggie lasgne which is nice, anyone tried tofu?

My goto would be curry or stir fries - if your making a curry add spinach as that is high protein, add a side of daal (lentil) and that will really boost the protein.

Personally I wouldn't rely on quorn to be your protein source, its expensive, processed and you could get a bit bored of it (it also contains milk). A great source of protein is chick peas - if your not a fan of eating beans, blend them up with some garlic and use this instead of mayo in sandwhiches etc, if you want to up the protein further blend them with some yogurt. Most beans and peas are high in protein and easy to add to a lot of dishes (blended peas or beans in a paste and served on crusty bread - add a bit of cheese).

Peanut butter is another great source of protein (nuts in general are), add a handful of nuts (ooh err missus) to your breakfast cereal. I love sesame seeds, throw a handful of them in a salad.

Tofu is ok - I don't use it as bf hates the stuff.

Bags of m&s honey roast and salted cashews/cashews and peanuts. Unbelieavably moreish (i.e. you'll eat the whole bag) and maybe not exactly healthy with all the salt and sugar but almost 22% protein by weight and they are fucking nice.

Chicken and chips with ketchup, proper London eating.

Bearlove I'm jealous of you right now, vodka and potato wit pea curry... :(

Curry was really basic but in a rich tomato sauce - topped it with chopped up spring onions, fresh tomato and some fresh chili to give it a kick.

Chicken n Chips sounds like a decent enough meal :).

Had sole last two days. Yellow one, floured 'n' fried (got no other way of cooking owt at the moment). Tasty fish but still not a huge fan of flat fish. Too fiddly. Can see 'em being a fine thing in the right situation but in the place of what I'd have battered/breaded cod/haddock/pollock/so on it doesn't quite cut it. Nice flavour though - fishy without being fishy.

Yeah there a bit time consuming - Im hopeless at cleaning / filleting (wheres Cornish for some tips ) so try and avoid stuff that needs cleaned. Bought a Tilapia the other day - asked for it cleaned, got home and they had gutted it but was still on the bone, head on etc. By the time I had skinned it etc I had gone off the Idea :D

I certainly didn't clean or fillet 'em - Co-Op did all that for me and charged me but £2 for a pair of 'em ;)

I think that supermarkets should do free cleaning, promote the sustainable stocks etc. It should take an experienced guy a few moment to fillet a fish. stick the price of cleaning on the kilo.

These ones come pre-packed in placcy boxes - no on-site fishmonger here. Don't bigger supermarkets do that kinda stuff free now? Admittedly fresh fish (whether actually fresh or not) still comes at a premium but they do the cleaning and filleting bit free afaik.

Cheese omelette - fucking baveuse and it was a fucking delight (excuse the K cider talking).
