I've never been to a metal fest... only been to one festival like 5 years ago... T in the Park!

For me, Metallica is the main draw but AiC as you said, Dream Theater & Reel Big Fish too.

I now need to know if anyone wants to come with me or if anyone I know is going. Otherwise I might be flying solo... anyone ever been to a festival by themselves? I'd imagine it could be an entertaining experience meeting randoms instead of hanging with friends.

Yeah, metal fests are fairly friendly so you'll be okay on your own, certainly if it's only for a day. If you do moshpits then you'll most likely end up meeting me at AIC and RBF anyway. :)

Haha mate did I make sense when I spoke to you yesterday on the phone? I was pretty fucked. It was a pretty banging day.

Lol yeah...just about=D

Mumbled something buying some green off someone and that was about as much sense as I got out of you. Sorry for being a pussy and not coming out, got myself a detox coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm going to see NIN next weekend so I need to try and keep things quiet otherwise to build up some strength for it.

Where did you go in the end?

Isn't there seaside vaguely near you? I hear Weston-super-Mare is nice this time of year..

I'm in Bristol so the Severn estuary is pretty close actually, could have gone for a ride down the coast if I didn't have a flat tyre:X

Going to do that in the week methinks, probably only take 30 minutes or so to ride there.

You never know. :)

I'm not sure if it was Download or Sonisphere but one of my friends told me the moshpits are fairly intense... not uncommon to get punched & then given a helping hand back up by the same person. ;) I think that was a Dream Theater moshpit...

I've been in a moshpit for Sublime (with Rome) along to Date Rape... that was fun. I found they best way to survive was just to push away from people as hard as you could & just let yourself go flying in a controlled sort of way... fond memories. =D

Just found a ton of documentaries on this site, pretty good to fill in a drug less sunday

*snip*

Really hope I get my mail tomorrow, a little bit of benzos and eph. Then on friday I'll be back home to retrieve the bigger order that's been waiting for me for a week.

Bad me though, usually I could last months just with kratom and beer, now I always feel the need to add other things on top, should take a long break at some point, I have a few parties in the next month, I could stay sober from mid-July till fall. Like I did last year

He was a total legend

I was serious too

Agreed with Sam, he was the last true rockstar, he just totally didn't give a shit.

Never heard so much bollocks in all my life. Absolute dickhead with serious issues is more along the lines. if you respect and think some nutter who throws shit at people and drags women around by the hair and various other stuff is a legend you're an absolute fucking bellend without a doubt.

No more link, but the documentary's name is Oxyana. Sorry Shambles didn't know about the streaming rules.

Found a decent one I reckon, should be interesting:

Synopsis: Tucked in the Appalachian mountains of Southern West Virginia, Oceana, is a small, once thriving coal-mining town that has fallen victim to the fast spreading scourge of prescription painkiller Oxycontin. As the coal industry slowly declined and times got tough, a black market for the drug sprung up and along with it a rash of prostitution, theft and murder. Soon its own residents had nicknamed the town Oxyana and it began to live up to its reputation as abuse, addiction and overdoses became commonplace. Oxyana is a harrowing front line account of a community in the grips of an epidemic, told through the voices of the addicts, the dealers and all those affected. It is a haunting glimpse into an American nightmare unfolding before our eyes, a cautionary tale told with raw and unflinching honesty

Can people really not separate actions from other, more valuable characteristics? Throw away at least half your album collections and books immediately if so.

That aside, just to clarify editing your posts, MK. I know there are oddities of which sites are and are not allowed to be linked to and have no answer to it cos it is nonsensical. Such is life. That site is on the verboten list though so no more linkies please.
