You know what makes a fascinating subject for a picture?

Go downtown, and look up. Above the gaudy fascia boards of the shops, where nobody ever looks because their eyes are invariably drawn to the ground floor windows, is usually a diversity of building styles.

So true. Many years ago I heard someone say that we never look up & since then, it's always something I do. I've spotted so many things around the city I've lived all my life that I'd never seen before.

yeah, that's a nice pic.

There's a very similar looking place to that in greater Manchester Flo, there is a pub just past the bridge. I used to like walking along the canal banks during my lunch breaks; icy weather, sunny weather, it was all good.

I posted this one last year, sadly i havent taken any better pics since then. There's been quite a lot of 'turnover' of membership since then also. I think the pic gives an idea of how peacefull and beatiful this place in the Lake District was, i just randomly strolled up some narrow twisty country road, and this was the scene waiting in the valley below.

Great shot. I think I've been to the Lake District on holiday once when I was younger. I seem to remember we went to see some waterfall or another. I'll have to ask my Mum.
