Ok I started tapering off of my 40-65mg hydro habit went 32 hours no meds w/d kicked in so I said I'll try in taper. So day one I did 50 day one day two 45 day three 35 day four I did 30 and today I did 30. Now today after my last 15mg dose I got super buzzed does this mean that my body is adjusting to the taper and if I continue this way when I get down to 10mg a day and jump ct that my withdrawl will be very mild ?

No one can give you a definitive answer on that, everyone's body reacts to the withdrawal process differently.

There's not really any adjusting going on when you do a quick taper like you are, I couldn't really tell you why you got such an effect from your last dose. It could be because you did your individual doses close together that day, it could be you just felt like it was a larger effect because you were in a certain degree of wd and the dose was such a relief, it could be because of some synergistic effect going on with something else you had taken, it could be because of some other physiological factor.

Do you have any plans in place for once you cut off from the taper?

Im guessing you mean like plan for my w/d when I jump ct . Basically I plan to get back in the gym if possible i ordered this herb called calmsupport from ryan donelly to help with withdrawl and i also have lope any suggestions ?

I meant both for the jump to ct and for the ongoing battle with making sure you don't return to using.

Here is neversickanymore's generic list for medications for opiate withdrawal:

medications for acute opiate detox

The medications I would explore the use of for detox would be:
>Clonidine< DOSED EVER FOUR HOURS..

one of either
>NEURONTIN< >HERE< >HERE<
OR >Lyrica<
OR >phenibut<

>A BENZO BUT JUST AT NIGHT<
>a nsaid<
>melatonin<
tylenol
Senokot S is a stool softener and laxative. If you do not want the laxative you can go for strait stool softenerDioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate.

(Opi Withdrawal) what is the best comfort meds for opiate w/d?

With regards to the psychological side once you are done with the detox getting back in the gym is always a good thing, but I would be thinking a bit broader than that. Are you going to have to make any changes to your general lifestyle or social circles? Do you have any form of support network of people to speak to wwhen you're not feeling so good? Are you going to be aware of when things are moving in the wrong direction and you're moving back towards addictive patterns of behaviour? That sort of thing.

Good luck and keep in contact with other people who are trying to recover from drug addiction, it helps remind you of what you need to be doing in my experience and can be rewarding when you manage to help other people move forward with their recovery, which in turn is good for yours.:)

From a mental standpoint I no longer have any desire for the drug I realize where it has help bring me and what I have to go through to get off of it and that alone is enough but my wife and best friend know what im going through atm and are supportive. But talking to people on these forums is a lot more helpful cause you all really understand the situation

At the moment.

Just because you feel like that now it doesn't necessarily mean you will feel like that in the future. This is precisely the kind of thing that you need to start working on to ensure a continuing and succesful recovery, you will be amazed by how quickly and easily one can forget the state of mind you are in at the moment.

From my own experience I can tell you that I have been in that place you are in at the moment where I'm just utterly fed up of ruining my life with drugs and sick of what they do to me many, many times.....and I've detoxed and been clean and then relapsed many, many times. Never, ever underestimate your own ability to fall back in to addiction, no matter how sure you are of yourself at the moment.

It's great that you have people around you in real life who are there to support you through the process of detoxing, this is a massive help that sadly many people don't have. I would strongly recommend you start thinking about what you are going to do to remain in the mindset of not wanting to use that you have at the moment though because that can (and in my experience does) change at some some point for the vast majority of people. The instances of people quitting using opiates for the first time and then never going back are pretty rare, but that doesn't mean you can't be one of those people.
