Opioids No withdrawal after roxy run

I've been using roxy's everyday (50-70mg a day) for a few weeks now and it has been about 24 hours after abstaining and I actually feel fine. In fact (despite having a slight urge to use more) I feel kind of refreshed and happy to be quitting. The only symptom I seem to have is excessive yawning and gas (I guess because I'm not so constipated anymore).

I just wanted to know if such a thing is possible and why some people wouldn't have severe effects from quitting.

BTW I was told a few weeks of use like mine was enough to cause physical addiction so I'm basing my assumption on that.

P.S. I also just wanted to know if anyone had these two symptoms from extended use:

- Frequent urination
- Slight jaw clenching

They seem a bit strange for opiates so I was just curious.

Thanks

Yeah you should be feeling pretty shitty. But hey man its a good thing not a bad thing right. You might just be less sensitive to it than some people and it might get worse tomorrow.

It could get worse tomorrow, but maybe not. It took awhile for me to get addicted. You got away with it this time, but if you keep it up, be sure it will catch up with you eventually. I remember feeling and thinking the same thing as you myself at one point. That was years ago. Wish I had quit while I was ahead...

For some people, it can take over a month and even a couple months of using every day to become dependent for the first time.. it varies based on the individual. Some get a habit after only a week or two. So consider yourself lucky if you dodged the bullet.

It's still early.. you could be a slow metabolizer and just not feel withdrawal that soon. Lots of people don't start getting sick, even with short acting opiates, for over 24 hours. If by 48 hours you're still fine, then you'll know you didn't pick up a habit.

It's very possible you might feel some minimal symptoms at the very least.. but if you do, it's important not to do anymore oxy to feel better.. as every time you do, you're withdrawals will get worse and worse when they reemerge. Just stop now, deal with whatever symptoms come, or if none do.. then thank whatever God you believe in and don't touch the shit again because you're not going to be so lucky next time.

Remember that nobody is immune to dependency.. it will happen sooner or later.

^^^^ that's right just cause you've used for this short time and not become addicted doesn't mean you won't eventually. Some people like me get hooked the first time they try it and others it takes time.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think you're all correct - I got lucky this time.

Unfortunately I caved in and snorted two 15's this morning before work. My excuse was that I can't afford to be in withdrawal while I'm at work.

I deal with people fairly often and I'm in too shitty of a mood to hide how I feel. I plan on getting through the majority of it this weekend.

Although I'm high, I still feel like a weak SOB :|

I think it would take substantially higher doses or high daily frequency for someone who hadn't been using previously to develop a habit in a few weeks. You'd have to be trying. Shit, after 6 months of daily 40mg methadone (my first habit) my first kick was a walk in the park. Some mild RLS, some depression, that was it.

You made a thread saying how you weren't experiencing any withdrawal.. but justified using again by saying you couldn't afford being in withdrawal at work...?
