I tried bumping an older thread on this topic but no one responded, so I am now making my own thread to try once again.

I have an abundance of Fioricet (butalbital 50mg, caffeine 40mg, tylenol 325mg) and i'm about to go through opiate withdrawals, now that being said: these seem like they'd be good for opiate withdrawal, considering the butalbital is a sedative (some what mild yes but I'll be taking 10mg of diazepam as well) the caffeine for energy and general well being and the tylenol for body aches and stuff.

Does anyone have any recent experience with these pills during opiate withdrawal and if it's worth my time? I don't want any adverse shit to happen.

I'm not a fan of any stimulant like caffeine while wd... Have u tried loperimide and cimetidine to ward off wd?

I agree with op@28, the main concern would be the caffeine possibly making the gastric issues and/or excitation (palpitations, tremor, restless legs) from withdrawals worse. If you just consider two tablets as equivalent as a strong cup of coffee and go from there.

Imodium, clonodine, Ibuprofen, weed, B vitamins all you need. Especially if you already have diazepam. Clonodine and Imodium are you're two biggest allies here if you can get your hands on a clon script. If not, Imodium and weed are your two biggest allies. all the other stuff is just going to mildly treat symptoms and honestly won't help that much by themselves, but make nice additions to the med pool.

It's also a drug that affects brain function and not something you want to take for an extended time.

It's somewhat similar to getting drunk but in some ways it's slightly cleaner (no Acetaldehyde).

If you use them keep the dosage low. 325mg of acetaminophen sucks as does the caffeine. 3-4 or so would normally be enough to relax.
The restless legs of withdrawals could be aggravated by the caffeine, depends on your sensitivity and avg intake of caffeine (don't drink your daily coffee).

Don't take a whole lot of them.

Yeah, I'm thinking of starting with two and seeing how I feel and dose up in 45mins if I don't feel anything. I also have diazepam I will be taking as well so that should help with RLS and other negative effects.

So a buddy of mine who was willing to be the guinea pig (he's detoxing too) decided to try them out and against my advice he took 5 of them! but he said it took most the edge off and eliminated his cravings for some reason. Just thought I'd post an update on this.
