I am getting incredibly desperate, I have been dependent on Synth noids for 4years I get very sick without them and am immune thc. I have read about rapid opoid detox with naltexone and was wondering if it was pharmacologically feasible to do the same thing with say rimonbamant. Is it likley I would experience a percipitated noid withdrawl? I feel so desperate I am willing to try this I just want normal,so bad. I hope this qualifys as advanced

In theory yes this would be totally possible to do with cannabinoids, however as with rapid opioid detox with naltrexone, you would have to be sedated and under medical supervision, as there would likely be a nasty precipitated withdrawal syndrome. And the problem is that you would have a hard time finding a doctor who would be prepared to supervise such an experimental treatment.

Someone more knowledgable should probably answer this, but intuiatively I'd say this sounds incredibly dangerous. Even if very few doctors (any?) would know how to handle this, I'd definately recommend seeking medical attention. Perhaps taper down as much as possible before that, then submitting yourself to the hospital. If emergancies like seizures occur, that's the best place to be.

I think it's very unlikely that Rimonabant will make you feel better any more quickly. If you take it you can expect to feel at least as badly as you would when you're not using, and it probably won't get you through withdrawal any faster, you'll just get sick more quickly. Also keep in mind that Rimonabant was pulled from the market because it makes people depressed and suicidal, so add that on top of whatever you normally experience during withdrawal. With that in mind don't expect to get this from any licensed physician (in the US at least).

Are you capable of tapering your dose? I know it's might be difficult to hear, but that's probably your only way to get past this other than cold turkey. Benzo's should be helpful for the symptoms, but you have to limit yourself very carefully or you're just going to trade one habit for another.

It might be possible that dosing with a cannabinoid antagonist may speed up the withdrawal process by making the receptors upregulate faster, but it would also make all the withdrawal symptoms worse. You'd feel more anxiety, have more problems sleeping ,more nausea, etc. You could take some sort of benzodiazepine to help reduce some of these, but then you might run risk of withdrawing from those once you stop with them. I'd agree with the people suggesting to taper down. A good way to start would be to not smoke to get high anymore, but wake up and wait as long as possible before having your first smoke of the day. Then only smoke as much as you need to not feel awful anymore. Once you are able to reduce your daily doses enough you could switch to normal marijuana and taper of that slowly...

Well I was acquiring the rimonbamant through and internet source and I know it could percipitate something unpleasant but could it really be dangerous? Speeding up the upregulation is exactly the idea I had behind this. Couldn't I simply use diazepam and buprenorphine to control siezures/sedate/prevent suicidal thoughts? I am only thinking of using these for 3 days so I am not concerned about addiction

I've been on synth noids since 2009, I love 'em, but you do have to be disciplined about dosing, or it will get crazy and you'll need a real honest break.

OP, they're actually (comparatively) really easy to come off, just don't use ANY for like a week, taking benzos everyday. If you use it "just at night" or etc you will have an insanely harder time.

The nausea and not being able to eat\sleep is the worst part, but it goes away quick as long as you actually stick it out, and don't order more for a while.

EDIT: I'm on a SSRI + mood stabilizer, though.

Yes not eating or sleeping it's shit and then you throw up the whole time. Sadly not ordering more isn't an option as my other family members refuse to not order

Well, stay with a friend for the week or something. If you don't give yourself at least a few days with NO cannabinoids, you'll be stuck in withdrawal, even when you smoke you'll just feel "more normal". It's a worse way to live than sobriety! Everything in moderation. Your CB1 receptors have probably all been internalized at this point, and if you want to coax them back out, you're gonna need to let them rest, undisturbed.

Go cold turkey for a day or two and then don't let it get so outta hand in the future. You'll be fine.
