Today I Am Thankful For... Ver. 3: Earth, Wind and Fire!

My daughter n my mam

oh n the fact 'tis a beautiful day; blue skies,
full of beautiful cries,
from the birds, from the birds,
humming a beautiful song containing no words,
The sky but a magnificent, natural blue
Feeling joyful on a day like this oh what to do?

Be thankful of course. So I'm thankful!

If it wasn't for that show making me smile and laugh, things would be much worse. So thank you Top Gear for being so damn funny haha
 
Today I am thankful for you, your encouragement and shared knowledge that has helped me to better understand what eluded me in the past. my heart has grown bigger and my mind more open.
Who knew strangers could be so kind. Gives me allot more hope for the World of Man/Woman
 
thankful for my students--they keep me laughing and usually tearing up (I've given up trying to hide it from them!) every day. And I am also thankful to have grown up in a time when medicating kids for their feelings and behaviors would have been thought to be insane. I found out today that one of my third grade students has been put on an AD on top of his daily amphetamines for ADD. 8(:( For those of you from more sane countries, that is a nine year old.

Thankful that I am still not losing my mind at work. yes I am at work right now :(
 
For some time with my father, I had thought we would never have a glimmer of closeness, he is very ill and struggles to deal with even simple things but seems to be wanting to spend a little time with me.

We never had a great relationship, his inability to assure me he loved me when I was in crisis was difficult to bear.

I love and respect him despite everything, his father showed him nothing but contempt, I would be a poor person to perpetuate this sorry cycle.
