Funny but sad story I have to tell about my job on the ambulance (not sad in the way you think with an ambulance, but you'lll get the point). I actually briefly mentioned part of it somewhere else, about how a guy OD'd on methadone and a speedball mix, along with possibly oxy in his system.
So we are called to a car accident, pretty routine, well until we get there and the driver is slumped over the steering wheel in the driver's seat. It seems he OD'd in the process of driving, caused a very minor accident with a work van. There is more to the story that would make you think this guys a slimeball, but I am not going to get into that.
So here is the sad part. First part of it is right before we roll off to the hospital with the guy, police come up to us with a bottle full of 10 mg methadones and I think some type of percs. Maybe a half full prescription bottle with a mix of the 2. No big deal there, cops hold onto it but showed us so we had visual confirmation he was obviously in possession of a enough narcotics to put him in his current condition. So I drive the ambulance to the hospital and I get out to open the back doors and there is the medics holding what looks to be around 10k worth of oxy pills. He had a whole lot of 30 mg roxis and also had the mexican 40 mg generic oxycontins with EX 40 on them. Which I honestly had never seen. And I say its sad because no one wants to see all these drugs go to waste, at least I know most of my fellow BL'ers do not. My god....iif I was in the back of the ambulance by myself with this guy and found all that, I don't know if I could contain myself from taking it. Guy also had a couple Gs of cash on him.
I don't even know if they guy lived or not, but I assume he did because they mentioned in the paper how much is bail was and didn't say anything about him not being alive or still being CCU'd.
I actually had a another situation where a guy had a lot of drugs on him and we took him to the hospital and I could've swiped them with no problem. They guy was legless drunk, stumbling around the streets at 10am, so the police barely ever PC people, so they send him with us to the hospital. On the way to the hospital come to find he has a bag with bottles full of 30 and 60 mg MScontins, a bottle of 2 mg dillies, and some other garbage like .5 alprazolams. I pretty much could've taken most of it and no one would've known. Especially since 3 hours later we get called for the same drunk a-hole stumbling around the street. But this time he doesn't have his bag full of prescriptions meds. So I assume the hospital took them, even though they had his name on them. Probably because they were all mixed up in the bottles, possibly expired and some of the pills didn't match any of labels he had.
