Relieve Jaw tension LSD?

Basically since my latest batch of needlepoints I have this AWFUL pain in my temporomandibular joint, or like just below or to the left/right of it. Hard to pinpoint.
Anyway, it really sucks, because my trips take their toll on this problem of mine, music sounds fat and thick like my ears are clogged or something.
Almost like clenching, some sort of pressure around my ears.

Now, I didnt really have this much jaw tension/soreness with the last batch of LSD I got, so Im unsure of whether what i have now, or what I had back then was LSD, but I am pretty sure it is LSD.
Though I never had it tested.

The only difference I can see, is my now increased dose.

And my doubt for this actually being LSD are increasing because nor did I have this heaviness feeling in my legs and arms.
Hmm... dam Dam DAMMMMM!!!!!

Try some anti inflammatories like naproxen and try to make the pain go away on it's own.
Orrrr do you have a cold or a slight sickness?
An ear infection may explain the symptoms you're experiencing, or perhaps a cold, swollen lymph node etc.

Magnesium? The hell. Okey, sure, like before the trip next time, or, and hour before?

Yeah, it might be a cold, but the jaw tension only arises when I trip, hence probably not a cold, but I aint excluding it of course. :)

Try an hour before and take more if it doesn't help. Its recommended to take ~350mg per day but you can triple that. I take like 600-1000mg when I take MDMA. The worst you can get is diarrhea for taking too much.

Hey thanks :)
Ill try that!

Hmm my post didn't register, I responded litterally minutes after this thread was made. Anyways I second magnesium, btw you can take grams of the stuff, just keep in mind that magnesium is also a laxative at high doses. I usually preload with a gram of magnesium and take another 500mg pill mid trip, I also get quite a bit of tension on most psychs. My high doses may be due to the fact that I'm taking magnesium oxide which has POOR bioavailability, try and buy magnesium citrate or other well absorbed versions. Ibuprofen and threshold kratom doses work as well.

Bluelight is weird from time to time.

I have been reading around a bit now, and magnesium seems to be the answer for a lot of people having the same problem as me, but I dont really understand why it should work. Am I magnesium deficient? But Ill give it a shot anyway. Thanks;)

Magnesium can affect muscle relaxation through direct action on cell membranes. Mg2+ ions close certain types of calcium channels, which conduct a positively charged calcium ion into neurons. With an excess of magnesium, more channels will be blocked and nerve cells will have less activity

For this same reason, don't buy magnesium supplements that also contain calcium. Normally that would be a good thing, but in a situation where tense muscles can be an issue you want the ratio in your favor regarding muscle tone.

By the way similarly sodium and potassium also gate nerve polarisation which for example is relevant in heart muscle contractions. Interestingly toxins like those in pufferfish, and certain kinds of venom act on these channels causing either paralysis via extreme loss of muscle tone or the opposite: convulsions via massive muscle contraction.

Am I magnesium deficient?
Very likely, between 54-75% of the general population is magnesium deficient. Magnesium is a vital mineral for bone and muscle health, ever since beginning a magnesium regimine I feel less tense overall, may be placebo but hell I'll take it. I also no longer get jaw tension on aMT and MDMA like I used to. Like soli said, potassium works great too, I was always told to have a banana when my muscles got tense by the old-school ravers so there may be something to it, doesn't hurt to give it a shot.

Who knows what other kinds of deficiencies I could be having.
Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Carbon.
anyway. jk.

I seriously hope the magnesium solves my overall muscle tension problem during tripping on this specific LSD batch because it has significantly impaired my two last trips.

Haha, that brings out alot questions on what`s on those blotters actually.
And Ill eat some babanas in addition to taking around 300mg of magnesium next before tripping. Bananas also taste good :)

Do you think that LSD has some sort of effect on the magnesium levels in the body?

I'm not sure but I'm fairly certain that drugs like MDMA do but I could be wrong, if it is true then perhaps the same applies to serotonergic psychedelics. Someone like sekio, solipsis, or ebola should be able to answer your question.

Ps: I think it's safe to say that pretty much everyone is deficient in some sort of vitamins and minerals. The western diet provides little of the nutrition needed to be up to par. Unless you have a strict, well rounded diet of fruits, vegies, carbs, proteins and all that other good stuff then you can safely assume your in some way deficient. A good start is to eat kale, kale is one of, if the not the worlds most nutritious superfoods absolutely loaded with vitamins. Begin a kale shake regimine every morning and I can guarantee you will feel a hell of alot better. Anyways this isn't "healthy living" so I'll end my post here ;)
