Weighing MDMA proving a pain? pics included - please help.

Hey guys,

so I have this...


I weigh it including the bag and it comes to 0.72g.

Now i want to weight it out so i take around 200mg soon (in two doses) but when I put small amount of the MDMA on the scales it just doesn't recognise it unless I put quite a lot on :/

This is obviously annoying as I have no idea how much 200mg would be unless I'm weighing it (last 2 times I've been out, I've bought a 'gram' and done most of it in the same night tbh)

I've already tested it and it's all good


Any thoughts? Here are the scales I'm using

Take a bottle cap or a little tray and place it on the scale, write down the read-out weight, take it off and add your MDMA and put it back on.

Its tedious but that's what you have to do with cheap scales.

I would recommend getting a .001g scale for future use, cheap ones go for under 50 bucks and work perfectly fine for something like MDMA.

.01g scales read out at 10mg increments which means that any amount you put on there is +/- 10mg at a minimum and it likely won't pick up anything until at least 50mg is placed on there. I can't say anything about how your MDMA looks because looks don't really tell you anything. I've had some MDMA that looked nasty but was incredible and clean.

EDIT: Looked up that scale. One of the reviews "An OK product. Accuracy is not +/- .01gms more like +/- 0.1 gms. Used pound coins to check accuracy and same coin weighed 3 times gave mesurements of 9.5 9.55 9.56 gms. Tareing each time seems to give more accurate results. Can't really complain as this is suitable for my needs and the cost was low. So 5 stars value for money."
 
Oh sorry mate, I didn't realise you said 0.001 - missed a zero! Best way to sort this out to use a bottle cap then as suggested?

Yeah a bottle cap or a small tray. Just something that will register on the scale. If you use a bottle cap though, pull the rubber thing out of the top (if it has one) so the MDMA doesn't stick to it. If the bottle cap won't register (or you're worried about the MDMA sticking), wrap it with tin foil.
 
Quick question MK - I always just let this dissolve on the tongue. Would I be better wrapping in tissue paper and swallowing? (parachuting)
 
I would parachute it... Even if just to avoid the massive amount of damage I did to my teeth from chewing pills and drinking MDMA water.

I think we all forget that these chemicals are highly caustic... until we leave some sitting on a pan one day and come back a week later to see the damage it did.

I don't see a huge difference in intensity between direct application to the tongue, sublingual and parachuting, at least not enough to warrant the potential risks of direct contact with your tissues.
 
Mate, i've never 'chewed' it - I just let it dissolve, truth be told I'm not even sure how to parachute it and it's gonna be harder to get into a club wrapped in toilet paper :/
 
The saliva carries the dissolved drug around your mouth. It doesn't all get absorbed right into your tongue.

As for parachuting, you just wrap it in a tiny piece of toilet paper, doesn't have to be a lot. If you're going to a club though, I'd recommend against it as they tend to tear up with any tension.

Just put it on your tongue and wash it down the back of your throat with water in that case. You're already used to the taste. Parachuting accomplishes the same thing, just without the taste.

Just a reminder not to talk about how you're going to bring drugs into a venue. Its too much information. I went ahead and edited it out.

Most scales he can just put the tray on before turning the scale on, then when the scale is turned on it will read '0' with the tray on it

That is a great way to get a totally unreliable reading.

They go through a self check when you turn them on to stabilize at 0. If you put something on them before turning it on, it is not the same as taring it after it has done its auto calibration. Its a pretty common phenomenon that placing something on the scale before turning it on will cause it to drift more than usual until you actually re-calibrate the thing. If my 200 dollar GemPro 250 and my SI-234 .2mg laboratory balance both did it, I would wager that an even cheaper 10mg scale would do it as well.
 
Hey dude - so i just measured it out - I know it so hard to tell without actually being with me but does the below look like that could be 250mg? Doesn't seem like much MDMA :/ As a reference point - how many mg would you say a standard pill weighs?

That reads 0.25 btw. Either way, I definitely don't have a gram...

Its impossible to gauge the weight of something by a flat picture.

MDMA can be dense or it can be fluffy, it depends on the batch like other chemicals which is why weighing it is always necessary.

The average street pill with all binders considered probably weighs around 200mg but I've never actually stuck one on a scale to see (I stopped buying them when I got a hook for MDMA crystals). Pills vary so much in size that its hard to tell what an average would actually be.

In terms of the MDMA content of a street pill, I'd say 80-100mg for a high dose pill, 70-80 for a medium and 40-60 for low dose pills but that's all variable too as some pills have been tested at over 200mg of MDMA and pills here in the states that are tested are just given in ratios of total actives.

Always weigh it out multiple times and take the average to get the closest possible number. With a scale like that, I would weigh it 5 times and then take the average weight - its likely to be close to that plus or minus the accuracy of the scale.

Did you try weighing the cap then taking it off, adding the MDMA to it and putting it back on then subtracting the weight of the cap from the final number? That would be my suggestion. If you add anything to the scale after its given you a reading without letting it go back to zero (or as close to zero as possible), it will likely not give you an accurate reading.
 
.25 is a VERY high dose. You shouldn't be taking all that in one dose.. it really is quite a lot, it would probably fill two or three smaller capsules all the way up.



Really though, you should just get a better scale. If you can afford MDMA you can afford a milligram scale, they're $25 on amazon/ebay
