If the Drug War is Failing, Where did all the Cocaine Go?

@pmoseman- i dont know why you have such a conservative stance on drug use. the most lethal and dangerous drugs are legal and readily available. harmless drugs like weed are "scheduled" and touted as more dangerous than pills or booze. the disparity between licit and illicit substances is based on propaganda and profiteering. our government is interested in money and population control. the most effective way to do this is fear-mongering. The drug war takes money out of the hands like everyday users and into the hands of the feds and cartel. its the longest, costliest, and probably deadliest war the US has ever started. You can not argue in favor of it.

I cannot squarely argue for the current prohibition, but your arguments against it are dangerous.
Weed is not harmless. If the claim is currently being made that marijuana is more dangerous than booze and pills, then your statement is hardly the antithesis, it only transforms this propaganda into pro-legalizing statements which are equal in their fear-mongering approach and misinformation.
You are prejudice toward the government, and make broad generalizations and assumption without evidence.

Weed is not harmless.

Neither is alcohol, tobacco or big macs etc etc etc… So why can't weed be legal for those who are of age and wont to use? Don't like it, don't use it. Simple.

My guess is that he

I think he may be a she.

My guess is that he gets off on being on trolling forums like this by being a contrarian for the sake of it ;)
This is a trolling forum?
Any site is a trolling site. Take Wikipedia for example. But it calls itself an encyclopedia.

Random list of items: broomstick, bird bath, eagle, zipper. Weed can be legal.
No. lol. It is not just that simple.
Don't like it being illegal? Too bad. Simple.
I am a woman.
This thread is a solid contender for worst of BL.
Isn't that like the best of Bluelight?
Oh, I don't know, I kinda though my contribution was pretty awesome.
It made my day.

Oh shit. Another one of these threads. I can't help but feel sorry for pmoseman, I now think he really believes the shit he is spouting. Bluelight should organize an intervention before any more permanent brain damage is inflicted.

Lol, no I just get incoherent when I'm high. Edited now but I was trying to say that *you* are trolling the forum by taking a purposely contrarian position :D

are my arguments against it as dangerous as the cartels that thrive in a black market? no.

is weed harmless? physically, yeah as a mAtter of fact it is harmless. its more harmless than sugar or caffeine. i havent spread any misinformation at all, so you should stop reading what you want to see, and believing what you want to believe.

as far as being prejudiced toward the government? no fuckin shit i am. the government is run and supported by greedy, power-hungry, racists. you want evidence? read about the iran-contra affair, or Gary Webb's artricles. The DEA, CIA, and ICE run a selectively porous border.. now what are these assumptions and generalizations ive made?

Pick any statement you made in the post.
trolling was used as a verb in that case you read it wrong
Lighten up. Relax. Calm down. Take it easy. Mellow out.
As far as an activity, besides the smoke, the physical harm of the substance is less than the overuse of refined sugar.
Sugar damages your teeth and can result in diabetes, etc.
Weed is relatively physically harmless, other than for people who develop lung diseases like bronchitis or are damaged by high blood pressure; it can be a catalyst to physical harm. I think it can cause the odd physical side effects, such as numbness.

^ I think you're the one who needs to calm down troll.

I bet coke will get popular again, just give it a decade or two...heron was real big for a few decades before coke came riding to the rescue in the 70's/80's/90's...shit shifts, we got it. I do think social stigma against crackheads has something to do with it. Only people I knew who did coke were country club white. White on white crime...

Wow great answer dude.

Cars are catalysts to physical harm too. This says nothing about the benefits of driving a car...

You think it can cause odd physical side effects? Why would you even type that dude? Nice last ditch attempt to defend your stance.

Excellent. So you really are approaching this from a position of extreme ignorance of the subject matter. As long as we've got that cleared up!

Here is what I found interesting in this article.

"Pew found that states with the largest prison population drops saw bigger reductions in crime rates than states where prison populations are still increasing." - NPR

"Prison decline has little impact on crime rates." - Pew
