I am sure someone will chime in soon with a more insightful post, but here's what I am thinking...
It's likely that fentanyl works on different opioid receptors than oxycodone, so it should, in theory, still have
some effect on you. You may not
feel the oxycodone working because although the different opioid receptors in the brain work differently from one another, there is some overlapping in their sharing common attributes such as: euphoria, pain relief, sedation, etc. If you are feeling these things already from the fentanyl, then you may not feel the oxycodone despite its working on different receptors. Do you see what I mean?
The oxycodone, however, would still fill work to fill those receptors so abusing both fentanyl and oxycodone may not be a good idea. I would save the oxycodone for another day. That's my two cents.
Someone please do not hesitate to correct me on whatever I've screwed up on the whole how-the-opioid-receptors-in-the-brain-work thing.
