Speaking of white rocks - I was a crack virgin until I went on holiday to Mallorca in 2012.. I was initially looking for brown because I had an average habit at the time.. this was in fact what brought me here to Bluelight in the first place; to try and find out was there a H scene in Mallorca (here is the link, my very first thread here at BL -
http://bluelight.org/vb/archive/index.php/t-631464.html
Anyway I think that thread was closed for borderline sourcing

, so when I got there I decided I had to find the area in Palma where the bag heads liked to hang out and take it from there..An iced cappuchino and some key Google searches ("drogadicto", "heroina" "palma mallorca"

) later and I was standing outside a cathedral looking to get arrested or robbed, still wasn't sure which was more likely, luckily I had smoked the last of the gear I had brought from Ireland that morning so was pretty calm. The first promising lead I had was a short tubby bald guy who was obviously fucked out of his head. He sat in the street alternating between cycling his BMX and rolling joints (people seemed to smoke weed there like cigarettes actually) while nodding out with a handful of his mates - I tried to get his attention but he nor any of his posse spoke English and with my Spanish being non-existent I began to think this was going to be a very long week!! Eventually I thought I had made a breakthrough when he replied 'Si, si' and motioned me up a side street - sorted!! The relief washed over me!! - It turned out that he thought I wanted hash and was bringing me to get a piece, so I made a jabbing motion towards my basillic vein, his sunken eyes lit up as if he had found his long lost missing dog and after some frantic discussions (he now suddenly had an elderly addict beside him who spoke a little English) organised a lift for us to a little place called 'Son Banya'
This place was fucking nuts, brown and powder 24/7, 365 all sold by a gang of gypsies who basically had built their shantytown into a fortress surrounded by a ten foot fence and one entry point - this meant that if the Policia did carry out a raid it was in vain as they would be seen coming literally a mile away from the houses where the drugs were kept.
The sole entry point is shown in this picture, if you can see where the main road intersects with the diagonal road leading into Son Banya (bottom left of photo) -
So finally it looked like we were getting somewhere - the bags were €15 so I offered to buy one for them to share (the fat guy and the old guy) in exchange for them organising my stuff and showing me how to get to Son Banya. I was starting to feel withdrawals now and this was the second day of a week holiday so there was some kind of urgency needed! But we still had no lift (Son Banya is about 10-15 minute drive from Palma)
Next thing I know I'm squashed into the back of a Ford Ka, one of the very first ones with barely space for two people in the back, stuck between the two Spanish guys - as we left the city heading towards the airport I can't honestly say I felt safe at all, after all heading to a Spanish shanty town to buy heroin from gypsy gangs isn't exactly the Balearic Island postcard picture is it?
So now there was four guys along with me and the two in the front were speaking English, turns out they were going there to buy white and wash it up into crack. The driver was Dutch lets call him 'Bobby' & the other dude in the front I don't know where he was from as he couldn't speak Spanish and Bobby was speaking English to him but he was replying in broken English.
Well the original two guys got me the H but I ended up talking to Danny while they were gone and once he got rid of them all back in Palma we went back to Son Banya and Bobby brought me into meet the main H and coke dealers (there are lots of houses that sell drugs there but the one with the best coke was a guy we will refer to as 'Nito' and the H was sold by a group of women that lived in their own shacks - these people didn't really live in houses as we know them, they are made of concrete but you would describe them more as shacks - although complete with 50 inch flatscreen TV's, iPads full air conditioning, satellite TVs etc. NOTE: These might only be descriptive of the houses that we visited - there were of course also genuinely poor people living there in squalid conditions that most third world denizens would not have to put up with but we only visited a few of the drug dealers houses - opulent on the inside and looking the same as the other houses from the outside).
How can communities like this be present in an EU country? As far as I could tell Son Banya doesn't have bin collections (the streets are strewn with rubbish and waste food which stray dogs roam to eat / clean running water (they buy bottled water and carry it to their homes themselves) or electricity wires (some seem to use generators whereas other seemed to somehow tap a nearby grid)
The place is nuts it's totally lawless, the police don't operate within the shanty town itself apart from the odd raid and even then they don't target users - from what I saw they tolerate heroin and coke at least to some degree (one day we were stopped driving in with a crack pipe and a litre bottle of ammonia but once they were satisfied it was for personal use they let us in and didn't bother to search us on the way out), there is even a bus that travels into Son Banya and stops in the middle of it - according to reports in Spanish / local papers the majority of passengers are addicts travelling there to score, the bus driver said he only has one rule that the passengers don't consume their products until after they leave his bus.
So yes back to the point, the freebase. The powder coke went for €6 per 1/10 of a gram and the minimum you could buy was 0.2 for €12. I had seen Bobby wash up the powder for the guy I mentioned earlier so since I wanted to try it I got €30 cash for 0.5 of white and €15 for another bag of - we drove into the nearest 'town' beside Son Banya (also populated mainly by Gypsies but these ones lived in caravans in the fields around Son Ferriol and Son Banya) and parked up to smoke. Bobby washed up the half gram and what came back was almost the exact same size, with half a gram of crack and a quarter gram of H between us we smoked for a good 90 minutes at least. I had never had a buzz like that before, a little bit like good coke but not really, it's not possible to explain how good it felt on that smoking session - especially after the first blast BOOM!!! Like my head was ready to explode but in a good way, I wish I knew how to put it into words but it's like any drug words don't do it justice.
I was there for ten days and I think all but two of them I smoked ridiculous amounts of crack driving around Mallorca with a Dutch lunatic, a nice crack pipe and a bottle of ammonia. Anyway there is lots more to the story but it's 03:57 and I have to be up for work at 08:30!!
. The quality has been dire for a good decade or so. Total waste of time. Y'all kiddies don't know what coke is
So Shambles come to Son Banya sometime

!! I know though you are totally right about the last nine or ten years in Ireland certainly it has declined in quality drastically, I started coke a bit later than my mates (who all stopped now the irony!!) it would have been about 2004/2005 when I first took powder in Ireland and it was awesome for around 6 months or a year but it just became so so bad, it's hardly even worth doing it nowadays! There is sporadically some decent in Ireland but you would need to know certain people and still pay a premium.
Anyway I just wanted to point out that because the powder in Ireland & the UK is poor does not mean us 'kiddies' don't know good stuff when we are lucky enough to get it

..
EDIT: Brimz I think you told me you visited Son Banya before ya? It's mental right?.... Also 'Bobby' (not his real name)_ must have changed his phone number or something happened to him over there because after about 6 months I couldn't get through to him anymore. I know it's a long shot but if anyone knows a Dutch guy about 40sh who lives in Mallorca and likes his crack and gear then PM me,. I wanna get in touch with him again
DISCLAIMER: I also didn't want to convey that crack is good in this post I just wanted to share my experience that particular week and also to make a comment on the injustice in society that exists within a major EU country (I know that not all countries are just but in Spain it seems to be extreme maybe other people have seen worse examples in EU member states?)
