Jobseeker's Allowance Megathread ver. The Jeremy Kyle Fan Club

Eve you are scapegoating immigrants then comparing yourself to a scapegoated Jew.

Sam is too polite to point out directly you are talking shit.

It's pretty ironic that you put the blame on economic migrants for 'taking jobs and benefits' at the same time as you complained about people on benefits being scapegoats.

Both groups are the right's favourite target minorities, and immigrants of every kind do get hounded by the media and certain sections of ther public. You only have to glance at the Mail or the Express to see that.

I am not the only one who blames migrates. Lots of people do. I feel that British should be given first choice n they come n take our jobs our benefits. Yet we're not allowed to say anything or we're called racists n made to face punishments. It shouldn't be the disabled who should suffer. People should only be allowed into Britain if they have a skill like being a doctor n not ve given benefits. Yet the Tories are taking off their own people.

Stone f off im talking talking shit at all. Practically EVERYONE I know is saying the same so in that case practically everyone in the UK are talking shit now f off you're going on ignore. Im not going to be spoken like that for having an opinion.

ive tried that, the jobs are 6 weeks old. Its a fucking disgrace.

Oh i dunno MDB, every time I log on there's loads of jobs that have been posted that day. The biggest problem I find is that most of them just reroute you to an agency website where you have to go through the hassle of creating an account with them before you can apply for the job. I find 'indeed.co.uk' to be quite a good jobsite if you don't like universal jobmatch, but UJM has the advantage that you can save your jobsearch activities and then print it out or email it to your advisor, which saves a lot of hassle. Plus having a UJB account seems to be a prerequisite for obtaining JSA.

Punishments? What kind of punishments?

Certainly not legal punishments, unless you're caught actually inciting racial hatred or racially abusing somebody, in which case you might argue that the punishment is somewhat deserved.

It's not the foreigners who are making things difficult for those on benefits, you know.

You know numbers don't make it right and it's perfectly feasible that everyone you know is talking shit, a majority of people in the US don't believe in evolution or that was the case recently, a majority of Christians believed Christ rose again after three days, a majority doesn't make it right, reasoned thinking makes it right, and reasoned thinking says that workers (I include the unemployed) should stand together for their interests against the bosses who are only too happy to see us split against each other. It makes the job of ruling us much easier.

We can't raise our flag encase 'they' are offended yet it's ok for them. Hymm in assembly need I go on.

Good point it isn't them making things difficult it is the government but we are made to feel like second class citizens in our own country.

Sammy at least you can debate things without resorting to immature comments like some members.

Too much media properganda Eveleivibe but i understand your point

Ultimately, fuck the government. and the media

Exactly ColtDan. We are made to look like lazy scumbags who just want to sit on our asses doing f all. It's BS. Some disabled people would love to work but can't. Some of us chose to do jobs even though we did not have to n end up struggling, being bullied n backstabbed n manipulated against until we 're given the sack - because we're a bit slower or get stressed easily. Yet all these people come into the country n get everything. We're made to go through all these hoops to get money we're entitled to because they're giving the money to foreigners. Its really winds me up something wrong. I really hope the Tories don't get back in again.

Eve, dont take things SHM says personally, he argues his points very ferociously and has a lot of interestng things to say. I understand that strong differences of opinion / clashes can be uncomfortable but ultimately both sides can learn a lot from them. Christ didnt that sound pompous, my apologies.

What do you mean "Some of us chose to do jobs even though we did not have to", sounds like you are taking up a job that you don't need, someone who has no choice might appreciate it :D

all meant in the spirit of friendly debate :)

Eh? I see Union Flags and Saint George's Crosses everywhere. Outside churches, in pubs, draped out of council estate windows...

I can't think of an occasion on which I'd ever want to fly one, but I wouldn't expect any hassle if I chose to do so.

As for 'them' flying 'their' flags, I've only ever seen that in restaurants, outside embassies and the like or when it's the World Cup. I do own a tricolour though; does that make me one of 'them'?

I beleieve St Georges England flags were banned by certain councils due to perceived connections with far right groups. I probably got that story from the daily mail, which is only fit for 3 things. I wont name 2 of them as there are ladies present but the other is for lighting fires with.

^ this (what Sam said), the St George Cross is quite visible in England, you don't see many saltire's covering windows in Scotland but it's one of the first things I noticed when I moved to London. I don't have a problem with it, but I can imagine it looks a bit intimidating when you're used to getting attacked by people carrying them.

Funny you never see that Union Jack shit on middle class estates ain't it?

Divide and....ooh can't think of the word....four letters begins with r.

Implease stop twisting what I'm saying. In 2008 I decided to seek work. I was on incapacity benefit. I did not have to bother I could have stayedon benefit but I chose to try. If I was lazy as the government makes out I'd not have done so.

I'm not commenting further on this thread as I feel like I'm being ganged up on n ripped apart. I just gave my opinion really wish I hadn't bothered doing so.

Evey

it often does feel like a person is being ganged up on when they are being challenged by multiple people at once but I assure you we are not co-ordinating this attack :)
