I have never done a speedball and have no plans to do so. I have only shot dope like 3 times (I have been doing opiates in one way or another for fo 15+ years) and it's not something I want to do. But my point is I agree with you why taint such a blissful experiance with something that's gonna make me nod out so I sleep through the magical warm fuzzy blanket feeling that I get from opiates.

I'm sure you can guess what I do. I use at work just enough to stay normal. Everyone knows my past so I can't do too much or I'll lose my job. When I worked nights that was different. We would officially be closed(doors locked not answering phone) my boss and I would get all coked up drink beer and pop pills or snort dope. That's when I learned that 9 beers was 1 too many and I couldn't weld for shit after that. Now him and I are the daytime foremen we hide our habits well. I could see how doing just the right amount of opiates would make someone salesman of the month.
On a side note: I know I got some good dope when I puke after snorting a dub. That hasn't happened in a long time. Plus it had taken way to long to write this post because I keep hitting the wrong letters on my phone here.

haha. dude. when high I would crush it in sales. since switching I've been falling off a bit; so funny you mention that. but, ill be honest too; there were times I'd get too high and nod and not make enough calls and nod off onto keyboard. boss/employees would wake me and id come up w/ whack excuses.
but yea, when high you love to talk, right? it worked for me.
I nodded out while welding and luckily didn't destroy anything.
I was given the ultimatum of rehab or unemployment at one job. I was only there about 1 year and went to detox. I ended up working at that place for a lot of years after that. I finally quit on my terms.

Haha hell yea god i looked like a torture victim the next day...all my appendages bruised and bloody, bathroom lookin like a murder scene. not/b] a pretty sight. Was always a helluva lot a fun. So glad not my thang no more, really a death wish. Cant remember how many times i thought "oh shit i just did too much, should i try and call the paremedics so my mom doesnt find ny corpse or waitout the 15 seconds and see if i level out." ugh.
As for whoever asked what jobs us junkies work: I escort. Been doing it since 2009 and generates a sizeable income. I have the same clients ive been seeing for 3 years and its not always sex. Now its more like just dining w a friend. I also am back in college. Hurray for methadone.

buddy just had a seizure at his job and they checked his backpack for whatever reason and found needles, spoon, etc and they let him go. they gave him a 20k severance package for letting him go for whatever reason (this is what HE TELLS ME). they didnt find dope or anything but find all that other shit and him having a seizure, so not sure why/how it all worked out.
That's why you leave all your works in the trunk of your car. I believe your employer has the right to go through your toolbox and locker because they are in the building. And I could see them looking in his stuff to see if he had seizure medication or some kind of medical paper or emergency contact. And also for drugs too because the employer has to cover his ass too. That sucks he lost his job but 20k is a heck of a good severance. I'm sure it wasn't all cash and some of that goes to keeping his health care for a few months. Sounds like his boss was at least halfway decent about the situation.

supposedly it was 19k total but after taxes and whatnot and ended up around 13k. he also has to pay for the insurance from here on out and whatnot, so it's not a TON OF CASH but def. enough to get him on one hell of a bender. he told me he gave the cash to his MOTHER so she can give him $100/wk or whatever type of money he needed for certain bills/whatnot.
youre right, it did sound like his boss what halfway decent about the situation but im SHOCKED they even did that. maybe youre right about going through the bag to check for medication or whatnot but im more shocked over the severance package he got for the seizure. I had a few texts back and forth w/ him last night and he said he's doing terrible and that I am better off staying away, which I will be doing. I just hate seeing friends fall like this. I pray for the kid. I keep telling him to try bupe out but he doesnt want to; he just wants to try that shot out again and then cheat 2 weeks into it. I know w/ bupe you can cheat immediately but it worked for me thus far so why not give it a try.. its what I tell him!im 18 and haven't started college or anything yet so I'm just a dishwasher at a pizza place lol.

They would not be able to deny me unemployment benifits. Or maybe he had a contract that stated something about severance pay. I have seen guys get canned and lose like 4 weeks of vacation pAy. lol. same here, dude. its a junkie telling me this happened. i dont get HOW or WHY it could. yea, hes a friend but hes still a junkie who makes stories up. he was a network engineer type IT role at a company, so he was making OK money, but he was still a daily junkie at work. so i dont get why/how. also, the company is a younger start-up tech company, so not sure if they throw cash like that. then again, who knows. lies lies lies in this world.

I know how I got mine and please stay away from that. what type of addiction and what the cost? dude, go to college if you can and try your best. i somehow got a degree but later in life. helped w/ in the work world but the dope and other drugs drained every penny I had and every opportunity I had.
Dude I am all for people doing whatever they want and I know I'm being a hypocrite. But being a junkie is a very hard and miserable way of life. Go to the bluelight shrine and read about some of our fallen brothers and sisters. A lot of them were way to young to die. When I look back at the last 15 or so years of my life I have been on and off dope and pills. Most of the bad things were because of using or using just made them worse. I have never had anything positive happen I'm my life because of dope.
I kinda forgot you said he was a junkie. Sometimes the truth is stretched a little bit. ( I really mean a lot)
Dude no kidding, probably just trying to not feel like such a douche for doing it. Especially since he made that nonsense up about his mom rationing him out the money. Thats a good way to cover up the fact that he really is still broke.

A lot of companies would rather not fire someone especially for things like drug abuse problems. I'm not saying whether it happened or not but, if the company usually does severance packages when they let people go then they would for him too regardless of why he was being fired. It's usually easier and cheaper for a company to do this than risk a court case. My company has never fired anyone for any reason even theft.^I suppose, since their finding of all the drug paraphanelia might be considered an invasion of privacy, so better just cut their losses. I wonder how it works with unemployment compensation. For instance, did giving the severance package mean they he can't claim unemployment? It sounds like he was laid off rather than fired, technically, so I assume he could, but maybe the severance package is a way of just getting the money he would get from UC out of the way.
Seems its so hard to fire someone in this day and age, so many loopholes to go through. Unless its egregious misconduct and they have full prof of it then it leaves the compnay open for lawsuits.
