10 Days of I.V suboxone tablets... Have I caused serious irreparable harm?

Hello all,

I am having very severe anxiety at the moment, as I am currently weaning off of Effexor (from 75mg to ~15mg in a week and a bit), and because of some seriously harmful behavior I have been engaging in.

I returned from treatment for opiate addiction 2 weeks ago, and was given a specific amount of suboxone to take with me (they put me on it) until I could find a sub doctor. Four days after returning home, I began I.Ving my doses. Around the same time, I also began this effexor taper.

Now, I have read about how bad it is to I.V suboxone, and I am freaking out really badly that I have caused serious harm to myself that could kill me :( Specifically, I feel like I can't get good breaths, and I'm also getting a little numbness in my hands at night. I can't tell if this is from the suboxone, or bad anxiety from the effexor taper!

Basically, I want/need to know if I have seriously fucked myself up after 10 days of IV suboxone, and if I did, will I recover if I abstain. If anyone can reassure me that I will be O.K, I will very much appreciate it as I am fucking loosing my mind with anxiety right now :( thank you.

I have IVd hundreds of pills and apart from a habit, I'm pretty healthy today. Admittedly I used a micron filter for a large chunk of them, and never suboxone. The symptoms you are feeling sound very much like rebound from the effexor.

I'm am almost certain you will be ok. I would suggest against IVing any more pills, and obviously seeing a doc if it gets significantly worse.
 
I think your fine. I have IVed plenty of subs and im fine. It is dangerous however so you should stop doing it. But your symptoms are anxiety IMO.
 
Please invest in some wheel filters. The .22 micron ones are the best. Should be available at your local needle exchange. Then you won't have to worry so much about pulmonary embolisms, injection site necrosis or even a cerebral hemorrhage.
 
I doubt you've caused any real harm. I've IVed Suboxone plenty of times and I'm still kickin'. Also, I'm not sure if you're fimilar with the movie 'Reindeer Spotting' (not Trainspotting) but the kid in that movie was literally just putting his Subs in a syringe with water, shaking them up and injecting them. No filtering at all. Just shooting up the whole pill. I think you'll be okay. :-)
 
Hiya - although this thread was awhile ago OP Just to let you know, if you don't already, that thee is a mega thread on all things suboxone in the sub- forum, 'other Drugs.' I hope that you are doing ok now and if its any reassurance to you i gey numbness/pins n needles in my hands too n I am taking suboxone as prescribed. I'm not going to judge you or tell you how to take/not to take your drugs - just to read as much as you can on bluelight n be careful.

Please let us know how you are doing.
