New Drug That’s As Addictive As Heroin And Perfectly Legal

$1000 a month on Kratom? That shit is dirt cheap if you buy in bulk, so either she had a huge habit or is an idiot.

To shimazu: I have purchased synthetic cannabinoids, san pedro cactus, ayahuasca mixins, and kratom all with a credit card. The first 3 drugs on the list were VERY STRONG (esp. cannabinoids and ayahuasca), so be careful about your bias!

Not to mention stuff like Methoxetamine and 5-MAPB which to me have superior effects and are more potent than the illegal drugs they were trying to "mimic", ketamine and MDMA respectively.

Saying that I doubt many people would say kratom is better than traditional opiates if thats your thing, but I've tried neither so don't take my word for it. These articles haven't really went away I mean a few years ago every new legal was put into the spotlight, most notably Mephedrone in the UK press, but the amount of new drugs now they seem to make a much larger general article fear mongering about them all, usually pointing to branded products from what I've read in DiTM and elsewhere recently.

As it stands the media and politicians can't keep up with the amount of new drugs hitting the market and it seems to be getting worse(or better depending on how you look at it), it used to be vendors would wait for the compounds they where selling to become banned before they looked for a "replacement" now they just add to their stock. At the moment a random vendor I know has 2 dissociatives, 4 benzodiazepines, 6 cannabinoids, 3 psychs and several stimulants, 5 of those have been released in just a few months. Yet they write about kratom.

Sorry to go so off topic but I hate when articles miss the point completely and just demonise every "new" drug (since when was kratom new lol). Not to mention alcohol, pharmaceuticals and tobacco are still widely consumed and legal, I do wonder how much they get paid by big pharma/tobacco/booze to write this shit. Also why do they always ask an addict or ex addict anything can be addictive, why aren't they outside McDonald's asking people how cheeseburgers and fries ruined their lives?

kratom was the last thing i was thinking of when i read the thread title, fuck the mainstream media, if they ban kratom, can we pls start a revolt?

Is it a high like cocaine or heroin? It can't be both. And oh god, it comes in.... LIQUID FORM

They should do an article like this on caffeine, except call it something else. And then at the end, explain that it's about caffeine, and make people aware of the mockery of journalism

"It's legal, produces a high like methamphetamine, and is even sold in liquid form or drinks and can easily bought by children. It is highly addictive and sends thousands to hospitals every year"

^
Just use its chemical name.

"Dangerous New Stimulant Drug Trimethylxanthine Being Sold To Children In Gas Stations Everywhere."

ha hahaha:\
That report is bunk.
I tried Kratom and I don't even recall feeling an effect. Does anyone even use this stuff?

It produces an LSD-like high that's similar to heroin and methylphenidate....It's a branch of coffee that was manipulated by villagers hundreds of years ago...

Yes. At the right dose with the right material its actually quite pleasant from what I hear. I either overshot or undershot it my first time and got extremely sick. Projectile vomiting and all. When I wasn't in the bathroom thought or in the middle of the panic attack it induced, it had a rather pleasant euphoria :P

well now I want to try it. sounds like a mild opiate but I didn't know it was cheap. I saw some at the headshop for 25$ but it didn't look like much. how many doses would one get for 25$ ?

I thought it's effects were supposed to be more similar to synthetic LSD and that it's originally a type of skunk but selectively bred to more like cannabis that is now being sold as spice but just without the bath salts.

Ban? Honey if the DEA could ban sugar they would. The 'merican people do know fuck all about drugs. Call it a drug, they'll ban it.

Doesn't matter if it's....a safer alternative to heroin, which it is for some people, and helps people get off full agonist opioids. Must be some evil shit.

Must ban. The kids are at risk!

It's the damn villagers and their leaf manipulation that started this whole thing! When are people going to learn...If you see a plant growing, leave it alone....there's nothing a plant can do that a drugstore can't!

I just love the sarcasm...the kids are at risk to a whole lot of things. I can mention 4 very easily:

Abortion (depends on your views, but mine are made up).
Circumcision (any one who defends this based on cultural or religious reasons has to be a textbook retard - removing a protective sheath covered with thousands of nerve endings specifically designed for erotic sensation and with specific immunological function is disgusting, barbaric, and absolutely inappropriate in ANY civilized society, we are not cavemen, we're fucking civilians! Non-medically-necessary circumcision should be banned, immediately, and without apology).

Then we've got abusive parents, and school bullies.

But the list goes on and on. I could write a list as long as the Ohio, but I won't go into such excessive detail ;)

Kratom, sought after for its euphoric and more intense effects, is considered by some as one of the most dangerous drugs currently for sale in the United States.

Yes. Some people should look themselves in the mirror and gouge out their eyes, reach inside the emptiness they find behind them and then decide since they have no brains, they may as well just get a job in politics.

The article about banning it in MA mentions a girl who spent $1600 on it in a few weeks. They said she was buying it in a liquid form, maybe tincture, they don't say exactly. I do think buying it like that is significantly more expensive. But that is insane, the only reason I would do it is cause its much cheaper than H or painkillers, that is on par with a pretty heavy heroin habit in terms of the financial burden,

textbook is right.

At last, thankyou RTrain, I have been saying the exact same thing for years but nobody listens.
