So i have a little bit of an issue......

I am currently prescribed 25mg of Adderall XR each day. Last monday I knew that I had a lot of work todo(I'm a student), so I took 3(75mg). That normally wouldn't be an issue, but that day I also had an appointment with my physiatrist, at which he expressed desire to increase my Adderall dose (all good so far right?).

But heres the issue.............
after choosing to increase the dose, he checked my blood pressure and heart rate, and of course... because id taken 75mg of Adderall that day, it was quite high. Now he has decided that I need to have an Echocardiogram and Electrocardiogram. Of course, I'm not going to take Adderall the day of the tests, so they'll appear normal.

my question is...........HOW DO I EXPLAIN MY HEART RATE THAT DAY?:(

Im worried that he might take me off Adderall all together, which would be an issue since I actually need it, I'm not just taking it recreationally.

Any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

3 XRs in a day? I'm sure there was more placebo to it than anything...

Well since you say that you need it not just for recreation, I would just mention the fact you had a bit too much caffeine that morning, and had taken a sinus pill without knowing it contributes to an increased heart rate... however you put it into context, that's up to you...

Placebo effect? Why would you say that? Even one Adderall can cause an increase in blood pressure and heart rate.

OP, I was going to say the same thing about the caffeine. Tell him you had been drinking a lot of coffee that day, had very little sleep the night before and was a little anxious due to tests (or whatever might apply).

Q: do you know the rules?
A: yes, you know the rules so don't post content that can be used to manipulate doctors. Come on KSA.... --tricomb

Why would anyone go balls deep in the bottle before a doctors appointment? What were you thinking? And why on Earth did you not say you're having a panic attack? Not only you would have gotten your Addy increased but you would also get benzos or we the fuck she would give you for panic attacks.

Q: When did these panic attacks first started?
A: Always had them since I was a child.

Since when do docs increase addy for panic attacks?? That sounds backwards to me.

I'd claim "white coat syndrome" was the reason for the increase in heart rate, say you get quite nervous going to the doctor, especially physical contact like getting your BP/pulse checked.

He fucked up in the first place...not much can be done at that point but in my opinion it beats standing around and risking losing prescription.

Since an Adderall day has 7-8 hours he could have said he re-dosed every 7-8 hours overnight to study for exams, which is legitimate use...you need the effect to be functional, and one can chose to be functional overnight... but it sounds fishy as fuck. The doctor will think he re-dosed overnight to get his dick sucked and there's nothing he can do to change that.

Failing his exam because he got a doc appointment isn't an option either. I would have said I'm stressed-out from exams and have panic attack, the doctor would understand that, in order to get her degree she studied until she heard the birds singing at 5am every day for 6 years so she fucking knows what he means. Give the fkn guy a break.
