Bitcoins

How the fcuks do you sell bitcoins without having to become an established vendor??

ask "does anyone wanna buy any bitcoins off me". If you undercut the going rate you'll have no problem. Of course people will need to know that you are not a scammer. Your post pretty much gave that message nayway so you may get a few PMs. Or you can use the bitcoin trading sites like bitstamp. Be warned with them though, they are happy to transfer your coins from their site to a wallet on a vendors site where you will spend them, they are less happy to give you your money for the coins. I suspect they dont make as much commission that way, and thats why i had a hell of a job getting my £3750 out of them.

Ebay has now banned bitcoin sales CK.

Aye? Figures. Aint localbitcoins meant to be the best one cause you can meet people in person anonymously, wearing a clever disguise of a mustache and a top hat etc

it was on the news the other day that the worlds first bitcoin atm has been installed, you have to do a palm print on the screen, and give ID, but you can convert bitcoins to cash and vice versa. Sorry but i cant remember which country it was in. It also mentioned that Greece and some other counrty (i think it was Iceland) temporairly adopted the bitcoin currency when their own currency was fucked.

We are living in some fuckin strange times. Science fiction is becoming a reality. This is one of the main reasons i want to live long enough to grow old, all the technological developments over the next 30-40 years are going to be fucking amazing. Sometimes i think i want to burn out not fade away, ie die young, but thats just mad thinking. I dont really want to die young.

WTF.... it's still rising.. it's gone up £25 more than yesterday.

225 per bitcoin now... what's going on....?!?

Surely.... it's about to crash any day now...?

What's going on? More demand than supply, people paying over the odds to get in, people setting buy orders below to try and get some cheap which props up the price even more etc etc etc.

As to why? The media is reporting massively on the new Silk Road and the price, remember what happened when the newspapers started reporting on mephedrone; people flocked in their masses. May happen with the darknet markets, although they are a bit harder to access than typing 'buy research chemicals' into google.

On another note,

My little miner serves a dual purpose, the heatsink hits about 40*C max.

Nice use for a Raspberry Pi, I was thinking about getting a couple of Block Erupters for the one attached to the back of my telly, its always on anyway.

My leftover schrapnel of 0.048 BTC from a couple of months ago is almost worth enough to buy something now :D

Also, shouldn't we be on a new thread now? ;)

fucking hell... £50 rise in 2 days.... this is crazy

I couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon. Just invested £75. Guaranteed they'll crash like mad now.

I just want 1, stashed on a usb disk for 10 years and see what its worth!

Actually thats something iv been wondering, with na program thats a 'wallet' that you download onto your pc does the website still have like admin access over your coins? i was reading about a story where soeone who ran amediun sized buisness witj an online wallet just up and left with everyone bitcouns. Say i had 300btc i could stick em in cold storaage (cept armory wont install on this pc :() and theyd be safe right?
But when you leave them in a live wallet do admins have access to accounts and therefore your bitcois?
I think that was my originl questions, i cvonfused myself whiel typing

lol yeah... think your a bit late, its defenatly due a huge crash

They've gone up £8 since I bought it already. that was what an hour ago!?

But you're right... a crash is due any day... I won't be hanging onto this £75 worth of bitcoin for long.

EDIT:

I don't believe this. I went to localbitcoins to sell my £75 of Bitcoin I just purchased. But they THEN tell me I can only sell bitcoins if I have at least 1 Bitcoin in my account!

1 Bitcoin is worth about 250 fucking quid now!

So I've HAD to cough up another £175 just to be able to sell. Worse news: The transfer of £175 is in a queue, and according to blockchain will take 24 hours to be confirmed.

So my plan of buying and selling £75 quickly has backfired. I've had to spend £250 and I HAVE to wait 24 hours to sell them now. In which time, the value will either continue to soar or plummet completely.

This is a gamble I never wished to take. We'll have to see tomorrow night whether my inexperience with selling bitcoins has made me richer or poorer.

Don't you then also have to wait until a buyer wants to purchase from you on localbitcoins?

bittylicious is the bets plaice i reckon, they rare fuck around with stupid shit, you BT them the money they sent you the coins
They're Slighty moreexpensive than on other side due to the ease or summat

early this morning it rose to £225 the price has dropped to 198 but will hover around there, man this is stupidness, but i guess it being volatimile in my favour for once.. i bought a btc when it was £70 and thats my kids college fund

If you're thinking of buying a USB Block Erupter, bear in mind that it will probably only ever earn a bitcent or two (0.01) between now and christmas, minus the power cost of leaving your pc running 24/7.

They look cool though. mmmm blinkenlights

What's the best wallet for cold storage? Price has shot up to 270 on bitty, madness
