Looked all over the internettys tried, several different words, mixed so id get what im looking for but couldn't.

My question is Asian Ginkgo Biloba superior to Australian Ginkgo Biloba,, U.K, U.S or any other countries powder?

I noticed once I got it off Ebay off an Australian seller and it did not look right, it was definitely not Ginkgo.

The species Ginkgo biloba used for medicine is the same everywhere, but it originates in Asia. If it's actually ginkgo, the only factor I've found that varies is the way it was processed and the quality of the harvest itself.

But it's hard to know if you were sold a fake or not. Sometimes even an old stock can produce crappy results.

I know i was sold a fake because it smelt like grass clippings and i could see it was mixed in with something else as the colour was not consistant.
They could of at least used a same colour cut lol

If you are in the southern hemisphere right now is a great time to to harvest your own gingko, it's a very common ornamental and urban tree due it's hardiness and tolerance to pollution. It's leaf is very distinctive so it shouldn't be hard to find, try taking a walk and see what you find. Any botanical garden should have at least a few specimens.
most health food stores also sell bags of loose gingko leaf tea for cheap. The capsules usually are extracts and quite expensive.
The grass clipping smell is from the way it's dried and the breakdown of chlorophyll, not because it necessarily is grass.
The best way to describe the taste of gingko is astringent .
Gingko is such a fascinating plant being not only one the oldest plants being nearly 300 million years old but also entirely unique in the plant kingdom being the only plant in it's genus and having no known living relatives. the story goes that it once covered nearly every continent however climate change caused it to die out rendering it virtually extinct except for small stands of trees in an isolated valley in China where it was preserved from extinction by Buddhist monks for over 1000 years.

why are you buying online when the stuff in health stores is great and fairly cheap?

Check out the other ginkgo thread in HL. The Aussie store bought caps have always been very effective for me.

Ask for gingko tea, most decent health places around here which have a loose herbal tea section will have gingko tea.
If you just ask for gingko they will automatically go the capsules since its $$$$$.

L2R, Like oldirtybizza said caps are $$$ so I prefer the powder

Oldirtybizza I prefer the powder mixed with milk, pretty sure I have had the tea. Powder in bulk is cheapest option

Do you have a link to the other ginkgo thread?

What is a good dose ? i've been taking 2g every day

Sorry mate.

I only use it for increased concentration, and for that I don't need much. 1-2 caps from the grocery store supplement daily is plenty.

Haven't noticed any sexual benefits to it, does help memory a tad. I also like to use it along with a few other things as a restorative after taking stims.

I just add a tablespoon of leaf to a cup with some sencha and enjoy.

How many grams is a tablespoon of Ginkgo lol
Have you noticed any benefits from taking it after stims?
I take it along with a few other things before stims for vasoconstriction..Does the job well!
