Where are the firearms at?

I used to ask several gang members to put their hand guns on a side table before I treated them for fear of getting shot in the groin while treating them. I'm no gun nut but I recognised a glock, the others could have been replicas, I wouldn't argue the fact if I had one pointed at my face. These guys weren't polished mafia types, just local yardie hoods with enough cash to drive BMW and sport gold grills.

Even £5000 isn't that much to spend on something that is a handy tool of the trade. Enough cars travel over the channel every day to make it very easy to smuggle one or two. The problem is public perception in Britain is such that flashing a weapon around would attract a lot more attention than America where even your grandmother packs a piece in her purse.

God I feel so bad for yall. I legally carry my handguns anywhere I go even in bars here you are allowed to carry with little incidence.

Ive always found american gun laws a bit crazy. bollocks to a nation of armed gun obsessed. ive always been interested in guns though

We used to have a rifle range on our school grounds. It used to be a school sport long before I went there. We could fire 22mm rifles but had to go out to the army range to shoot anything bigger.

We would use replica SLR rifles for parade and there was a trophy given for stripping down and reassembling a rifle against a stop watch. On our annual army cadet camp we would play war games over the course of a week with the adventure training platoons trying to attack a bridge that was defended with rifles firing blanks. Perfectly safe until someone gets over zealous and decided to pistol whip a kid the the stock of his rifle.

Really.

I've been to some of the best raves ever in an old police range.

I actually briefly owned a real firearm for a while: a tiny little Melior 6.35 mm pocket pistol. It was an old war trophy taken from an Italian officer by my grandad back in WW2. I got rid of the thing though; no way am I risking 5 years mandatory. Sod that.

I'm really into airguns right now, mostly the CO2 powered air pistols. I've got a Umarex Walther CP88 with wooden grips and long barrel; Umarex make almost perfect replicas-very impressive.

Arghhhh help I live here help me help me!
Lol I hate to say I told you so.

IE jealousy
Hmm the thought you could go into a bar and be surrounded by people with guns... how very reassuring. Not.
Actually Tennessee state law says you can enter a bar with a concealed firearm as long as you do not consume any alcohol. Anyone that goes out of their way to get licensed to conceal carry has to go through a class and a background check. In the state of tennessee permit holders account for .001% of the gun crime.
You see nothing at all wrong with this?!
I thought the bar thing was a bit silly myself but tennessee legislators felt it to be their prerogative. Even though I am legal to carry I rarely do as there is no point, but it is nice to know I can.

I regularly go for a walk and a spliff in woods that have a sign saying "police dog training area". I presume they use them to sniff out drugs so I make sure to throw the dog end (geddit?) in the thickest brambles I can find. Poor little doggies.

Far from it. pull your head from your gun loving ass

Aye, why would you be jealous that every other person you see might be carrying a lethal weapon?

I can see the childish attraction of carrying a gun. That "I'm so powerful, nothing can touch me, brap brap brap" feeling, but that attraction/power is gone the second you realise the next man might be carrying one as well.

Think about some of the dickheads that get a gun permit...

Action Park was an amusement park, open from 1978 to 1996 in Vernon Township, New Jersey, at the former Vernon Valley/Great Gorge ski area, now known as Mountain Creek.

It featured three separate attraction areas: an alpine slide, Motorworld, and Waterworld. The lattermost was one of the first American water parks.[1] Many of its attractions were unique, attracting thrillseekers from across the New York City metro area. The park's popularity went hand-in-hand with a reputation for poorly designed, unsafe rides; underaged, undertrained, and often under-the-influence staff;[2] intoxicated, unprepared visitors; and a consequently poor safety record.

At least six people are known to have died as a result of mishaps on rides at the park. It was given nicknames such as "Traction Park",[2] "Accident Park", and "Class Action Park"[3] by doctors at nearby hospitals due to the number of severely injured parkgoers they treated. Little action was taken by state regulators despite a history of repeat violations. In its later years personal-injury lawsuits forced the closure of more and more rides and finally the park itself in 1996.
