Any permanent effects after monthly ecstasy use?

Ok so I'm trying to decide what to do in the future regarding rolling. I rolled for the first time about a month ago and it was amazing and I loved it. I'm wondering if there would be any permanent effects if I rolled once a month for about a year? And what if I rolled every two months instead? Would that make a huge difference and not cause any permanent effects? Every time I would get ecstasy I would know it's real mdma because the guy I get it from is my friend and he tests the pill right in front of me. And also if I did it every one or two months regularly for a year and then over the summer for about two months every other weekend would there be any negative permanent effects? Personality changes, long term depression, anything like that? Thanks I'd really appreciate any responses or help with this. And if something isn't understood in what I wrote just ask and I'll clear it up.

Hi Mathiusz, I have been rolling roughly once a month for two years. I have noticed no long-term negative effects. That's not to say they can't happen. There is lots of debate on this forum about how safe rolling once a month is and others will say it is not safe. Personally, I feel it is safe so long as you're taking tested MDMA and in reasonable doses (100-250mg across an evening). The damaging effects of MDMA appear to become far more prevalent in higher doses.

If you wish to be really safe, limit usage to once every 2-3months. If you begin to feel that MDMA is affecting you, take a long break and/or reconsider taking it. Some users appear to be more susceptible to its damaging effects than others so test the waters.

Best of luck!

I would say once a month for a year shouldn't have any major effects, but everyone is different. For some people, they can roll once a month for years with little change in personality or health. For others, they may roll once a month and never be the same again. It really depends on the person, but I'd say overall it should be generally safe. If you really want to play it safe, give it atleast 2 months in between each time. This is what I do, and I find that I have no side effects thus far and each time I roll its nearly as good as the first time ever because the two month break really gives you time to get your tolerance down and experience that magic again

JWills nailed it, if you want to be borderline safe I wouldn't do more than 200mg once a month, I find my 'sweet spot' where I'm not fully fucked, I can still have fun and comprehend things is at 180mg, I also find my Tuesday blues to be non-existant if I don't do more than that, which to me is the best thing out of the whole lot.

Sure you can do an extra 30-50mg.... but there's a very high chance it will fuck with you and leave you will some form of non-positive effect. Don't risk it! Do a smaller amount and still have fun.

TL;DR

180mg (MAX)
once a month (be safe do month and a half) as you're a new user.

Do 150mg your next time and see how you control yourself. :)

Alright thanks guys I'm just gonna do it every two months maybe a bit more often over the summer but yeah I'll keep it safe. Thanks again for the advice.

It would be a good idea to take a N-Methyl-D-Aspartate Receptor (NMDA) antagonist during your roll. A supplement NMDA antagonist is Magnesium. A OTC antagonist is Dextromethorphan (However, DXM has it's own effects on Serotonin. So be careful and do the research before you take some DXM with MDMA)

The reason why is, NDMA antagonists will actually stop the build up of tolerance to Amphetamines. This is accomplished by stopping increased levels of charged Calcium from entering the cell. This stops the body from being able to reach an equilibrium, and thus stops (or more properly, greatly slows) the buildup of tolerance.

Also, NMDA antagonists have been shown to greatly reduce brain alterations (and damage) caused by long-term amphetamine use. And some studies actually found that NDMA antagonists can actually reverse damage in some cases.

Rolling once a month at about a moderate dose shouldn't do too much damage. It depends, though, since everyone is different. Some people naturally have low levels of serotonin, and have trouble producing serotonin.

5 htp for 4 or 5 days after your roll should help. I didn't start noticing negative effects till I began to roll every weekend. Read my post if you want an in depth description of my long term effects.

He rolled for his first time last month, surely he doesn't need to be running around and taking DXM haha.

Definitely liking the info about the Magnesium & benefits though.
