Adrenal Fatigue

Thank you for the suggestions ilikestims, i have been using that mindset and it has been helpful. And foreigner, that makes a lot of sense, my mom had AF a couple years ago and i could not comprehend how her symptoms were related to the nomer. Clearly now I understand what she was going through

A friend of mine has some good LSD ive been wanting to try, is that safe for with the current state of my body/adrenals? Ive read alot of highly confusing information about its stimulant properties(or lack of) here. Would there be any supplements i could take to make the experience safer, or have around as a safeguard in case my heart beats too heavily or other symptoms occur?

Also, one of my docs did prescribe me diltiazem, but im not sure i should take it since it would lower my BP, and i already have somewhat low BP. This was also before we established a stronger possibility of AF though.

Thanks for your continued support, BL

^ LSD is not a stimulant, but it is sympathomimmetic. Meaning, it will increase heart rate, blood pressure, sweating, etc. But it's great for over all body circulation.

If you feel exhausted all the time to the point that you don't have much energy to do anything, then my guess would be that an 8 hour psychedelic trip might make you even more tired. But sometimes when you improve body circulation, energy level increases, if the problem is stagnation.

If you have true adrenal burnout then a high powered psychedelic trip would make you feel worse, IMO.

Im not worried about increased BP, mine is low, and if the biggest worry is increased exhaustion sounds like np for a weekend. However the increased heart rate does concern me still.

Does any one know any supplements that would be friendly to LSD and AF to effectively calm my heart rate if things go awry? Maybe a hawthorne/magnesium drink?

also i have a prescription for diltiazem(according to another thread, its a benzothiazepine class drug), which lowers blood pressure and heart rate. Does anyone know its interaction with LSD?

Honestly, if you aren't mentally optimistic, imo you're wasting the tabs.

Every time I did acid (which is beyond count), I told myself and knew that every trip would be the best time of my life.

Except once. And, predictably, I had a bad trip. Fortunately I pulled myself out of it by realizing what got me there in the first place and flipping my mental.

If you have any doubts your trip isn't going to be great, don't take it just to alleviate your boredom. It's a sign. To drop anyway would be an indicator you're not respecting the drug. In which case the drug won't respect you.

Luckily, my shitty job gives me perspective, and im happy as a lark when Im at home especially with my girlfriend. Ive also been looking forward to lsd, it doesnt come around here very often (the past 2 years to be specific) so im more than optomistic and and in the right mindframe, really my only concern is my heart rate. I dont want to end up in the hospital on lsd.

I totally agree though ilikestums, Im not a complete noob to dose, have tripped at least 10-15 times.

Chronic fatigue can also be caused by thyroid issues, most common of which is iodine deficiency. Eating seaweed is a good way to get iodine (the spicy dried seaweed is a pretty nice snack). That aside, good sleep and consistent exercise seems to work the best for me. American Ginseng is great if you're expecting to have a loooong day, I've noticed it stretch my energy a few hours longer than normal.

I see the results of that study got around fast. Not sure I'm ready to go off eating seaweed yet though.

Before anyone asks, I experience a lot of fatigue. Usually by the end of my heavy lifts on Wednesday I'm feeling dead. So dead to the point where sometimes I perform less than stellar on Thursday and Friday in the gyms. Which is why Thursday is the second back day, and Friday is the second leg day for me. It makes it so that I'm only doing active recovery work from the rest of the week prior. Saturdays I can usually sleep almost 18 hours straight. I literally only get up to use the bathroom and eat.

^ Have you considered that you're reaching the natural limits of your body's strength-building and you just need a genuine rest? Most people cannot pump weight regularly unless they are on some kind of hormonal augmentation.

The more your body is injured, the more it will make you sleep. It sounds like you put a lot of pressure on your body to perform during the week, and by the time the weekend comes it requires so much regeneration that you sleep for more than half a day.

Still would like to know if there are any supplements that can calm your heart on lsd or with adrenal fatigue, any input appreciated. Foreigner your answer didnt really specify if it affects heart rate, and i do already take rhodiola regularly now with my adrenal support supplements

But [lsd is] great for over all body circulation.

How so? It's actually a bit of a vasoconstrictor.

As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, adrenal fatigue is an analogy for something receptor-mediated. It's unlikely that the adrenals themselves have become useless, otherwise you would be dead.

The pedant in me dislikes this. "Adrenal fatigue" connotes some sort of reduced function of adrenal secretion following overuse of the organs that do so. Why not just talk about adrenal fatigue directly in terms of reduced sympathetic nervous function due to receptor downregulation?

ebola

I have no idea what you're talking about. This has been known in Asia for a long while. I guess you've never had sushi, because that right there is an easy and delicious way to consume some seaweed. A few California rolls would easily cover your RDI for iodine, seaweed contains a lot of it.

If you're already taking those supplements then there's not much more to be done. LSD has sympathomimmetic qualities that will raise your heart rate and that's pretty unavoidable. If your heart rate is increasing even more due to some form of anxiety then maybe you should consider a lower LSD dose or a different psychedelic.

Then why do migraine and cluster headache sufferers experience relief when using LSD?

My circulation is always amazing after an LSD trip. My hands and feet stay warm for weeks when they're usually colder.

I don't know, I didn't invent the termniology, and I don't personally find it problematic if the issue being described is a misnomer because the treatment modalities for that misnomer are effective. Call me a pragmatist.

Thanks for the tip fresco, I will try that.

Also an update, smooth sailing on lsd. Took some hawthorne during it, and not sure if it was that or the nature of the trip itself but was trouble free the entire time, havent felt that good in months. Feel good day after too :)
