Top 5 electronic producers

Good thread! Has no one mentioned Laurent Garnier? The man is an absolute legend on the dance scene: played on the opening night at the Hacienda and is still making innovative and beautiful electronic music 25 years later.

For others, I'd have to go with Mr Richard D. James in all his guises - another true pioneering EDM genius, the Hartnoll Bros. and for a bit of techno mastery Jeff Mills and Dave Clark.

Each to their own like, but I don't understand where all the Deadmau5 love comes from. I think this sums him up perfectly. He sounds like a bit of a twat.

nostrum
dave the drummer
captain tinrib
karim
omni trio

if you dont already then get to know ;)
That's a boss selection of producers. %) I got loads of there tunes on vinyl. When I think of Omni Trio, I think of Renegade Snares, when I think of Dave the Drummer, I think of Steamliner. Nostrum - I think of Brainchild, Baby, Monastery etc etc... They really did produce some special Hard Trance in the 90's.

I've got nearly all the Tinribs :)

My list below.

Logger.
Houdini.
MonoMonkey.
CraigEmoson.

(B.D.I Crew Coventry) ;)

Prydz is classic.

Deadmau5 had a killer mix down early on. Faxing Berlin never gets old.
How nobody had mentioned Prydz before is beyond me. The guy is a genius. Beyond progressive, the shit he was doing years ago is mainstream now. If you haven't listened to his Cirez D (namely 'Glow' and 'On Off') or his Pryda ('Glimma' & 'Juletider') get on it ASAP. That's the future.

Not sure if anyone here has really listened to them before but stuff I like to listen to and especially so when I'm on anything really is stuff like Animal Collective, really psychedelic stuff you know? I highly suggest you at least take a listen to Applesauce and Today's Supernatural by them.

A little more popular and more likely to have been heard of is Infected Mushroom, more intense with more of a beat to it but still fucking awesome.

^ I bought Know Your Enemy as a random vinyl purchase along with some neophyte records years ago. I was curious if they still put out tracks and I guess they still do, they released 2 tracks in 2013. Hardcore Never Dies!
