I just went almost 5months clean from opiates/pills and I just messed that all up. I just got back from working in alaska all summer and for the last 5 days ive taken one 30mg oxycodone a day. snorted em. I was wondering if should expect withdrawals from this relatively low dose. I just wanna move on and get back to being clean.

You will probably just have a little RLS and some trouble sleeping, but nothing major. Just move on from it and try not to think about it.

Im new to this. Thought i could give you some advice. Deff will have a little wd, forsure. But if you're strong enough to have stayed clean for 5 days, you can completly stop by yourself. Ive been taking opioids for almost 2 years straight and wish I could even come close to quitting!

5 day run with one 30 a day? You'll be fine. Maybe slight WD, depending on how serious your habit was before. But stop now. For me, once I hit the one week mark, it starts to get much harder to come off.

Most people have periodic relapses before finally making themselves 'clean.' I am not sure that the concept is always helpful though - that black and white thinking of EITHER being a total mess or totally drug free - just encourages people to beat themselves up and to forget the real achievement of x months (or hell, x days) without opiates. If you think you have done 'wrong', the only thing you can do is to try to do better. Good luck, and hang in there. The alternative sucks.

Black and white didn't even make an attempt at forming sense in my mind. I practice moderation management. Abstinence is just running from the problem without fixing it. It's an outdated theory. Like, instead of teaching the children how to have sex responsibly, let's just put a blindfold on and tell them not to fuck - problem solved. zzZZ

It's the 12 step theory that states - "Ok, i can't take anything because ill just be sick all over again!!!!!"

That's the polar opposite of when you're using, saying - "Ok, I can't NOT take anything because i'll just be sick all over again!!!!!"

And so the mental process that needs balancing isn't even approached, and thus the actual psychological problem remains unchanged.
