Quick development of etizolam tolerance?

Having only recently taken this drug (on a purely recreational basis), having first having found it to provide a blissful calmness, it seems that only a few days after this initial use, that significantly increased doses are failing to have the same effect.

At first, 2-3mg would help me to find a nice place. Five days later, a dose of 10mg (perhaps irresponsibly consumed with 12 bottles of albeit weak lager) fails to touch the sides. Is the quick onset of tolerance common with this particular substance? Just bounced a 2mg Alparazolam too, which just doesn't seem to be doing it's normally reliable thing. Could a possible cross tolerance have developed?

I have also noticed that the combination of etizolam and alcohol can often, the following day, induce an uncharacteristic rage which at times seems uncontrollable and of a particularly aggressive nature.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Or any benzos in general will give you the anger effect the next day, especially combined with alcohol. It's crazy how quickly your tolerance builds because you're using frequently. I got to this point where I would not remember things I did, blacking out. Doubling, tripling dose to get to the same place where you started. Be careful and slow it down!

Alcohol and benzos ( or Etiz ) are not things that you should be combining on a regular basis, as dependence both physically and mentally can be very unpleasant and difficult to resolve.

I'd avoid benzos more than 1 day a week and then keep the dosing low, if it's not working skip a week, tolerance is a bitch with this stuff and doing higher doses will lead to a steeper climb up the tolerance ladder.

You might want to think about why you are feeling the need to take these things in that way, if your so unhappy or stressed you feel the need to escape it may be time to discuss this with a doctor, if not knock it on the head and save them for special occasions.

Don't take it that often if you want to keep reasonable tolerance.

And drinking on benzos is quite risky especially moderate to high doses of either both. Can cause death and will definitely cause problems for your social life.

Never got the next day anger thing tho. Even on I'm usually a calm guy.

Really ?? apart from choking on your own vomit I wasn't aware of any dangerous interaction ??

Booze and Benzos falls into the same category IME, I was a mess when doing this combo daily.

Given the choice of the 2 I'd go for benzos, but both can be problematic when used to heavily, together they area train wreck

Ok, it may be my insomnia, but didn't we both basically say the same thing (that it can kill you and is generally a bad idea)?

There is no dangerous interaction that I am aware of, it never made me ill in that way. They have similarities in the way they work on the brain which is why they are often use in alcohol withdrawal.

I don't see any dangers that aren't there with either substance on its own.

From an abuse perspective its bad a news if done in quantity on a regular basis, in my case both my alcohol and benzo use increased and I was less functional.

In moderation it seems a reasonably safe combo, happy for someone to explain why not, although I get your point.

Ah I think we just had a misunderstanding. And I see your point about how it can be reasonably safe with the right doses.

My point was more along the line that most people can't take a safe dose of both and call it a night. That's why we get all those stories 'so I took a xanax and drank a beer, next thing I remember is waking up with all of it gone and empty beer cans lying everywhere'.

And if you're talking about being violent the next day, that never happened to me either.

Me neither I had quite a bad problem with daily benzo and booze use and never got violent or abusive.

Booze on its own doesn't make me in the least bit aggressive and benzos even less so, I bit belligerent is about as far as it ever went.

I rarely blacked out due to tolerance, phenaz was the only thing that really caused that, lost a week

No I was a sitting at home bottle of whiskey kinda guy but it still didn't make me angry or violent.

Benzos seem to have that effect on people but never have with me even when I was taking a lot everyday.

In combination they just make me pass out which was exactly why I did it, it didn't turn out well:\

If I did that I'd just post on fb/forums/email/text/call, .....

If you're taking them regularly - even just 3 or 4 times a week for any length of time the withdrawal when you stop taking them is very nasty. Very, very unpleasant suicidal despair.
