Yes. But they are very thinly cracked, and require a lot of prying by lower historical classes, implying a defacto quasi-aristocracy.

besides in vaguely defined theory, you have no basis for such a claim.

the door is no more "thinly cracked" to the poor in china as it is in america or australia. classes and castes exist in all three places, but only one place acknowledges it (clue: and that place doesn't start with an "a").

These are pretty clearly de facto aristocracies too. Why did you find it implicit in my point that they aren't?

I'm not well versed in Chinese politics, but it seems that the relationship between the citizens of China and their government are starting to mimic the relationship the American populace shares with theirs, and vice versa. Convergence theory being realized?

The continued privatization of the Chinese economy is creating a larger stake for the bourgeois faction of the communist party, representing the growing number of business and social elites with alot of sway in Chinese society. This is happening while the US is ever increasing it's corporate welfare practices and hampering the social and political mobility for the general population.

How long will it be until both systems are identical from one another?
 
They already have lots of similarities, but they'll never be identical. One system doesn't have the utter waste of resources and corruption of rational debate associated with lengthy public campaigns.

It was inferred by the lack of qualification with a view of care's post to which I was replying.

All three named states are a little aristocratic, but none are with a capital A.

Either i'm growing more and more cynical, or this forum is entirely devoid of any worthwhile discussion these days.

I still like some bluelight forums, but i've been getting my political rocks off in a much more academic forum recently.
