Dried magic truffles dosage

All of the dosage information I've found for psychedelic truffles is either for fresh ones or it doesn't specify. So what is the dose for them if they're dried?

Been a while since I did them but I think I was taking the same dosage of them dried as I did dried mushrooms so the scale seemed to work the same - just divide the fresh dose by 10.

Incorrect, truffles are more massive and the dry weight is not 10% but 30-35% that of the fresh weight.
If a typical fresh truffle dose for you is 15 grams, you can now take 5 grams.
Ismene, that 5 grams dry truffles does come close to the 3-3,5 grams dry mushrooms, you just forgot about the fact that since fresh mushrooms contain much more water than fresh truffles you need more of the mushrooms. That messes with the scale / ratio.

What? Do you mean shroom chocolates?

Average dose is about 2-3.5gs.

Shroom chocolates can contain a wide range of mushroom doses, not a standard concentration that is always the same, if they are sold to you without that information the only solution is to titrate the dose very slowly.

I think it's important to be specific on what species of "truffles" you're talking about as they all vary in strength. In this order (from mildest to strongest) Psilocybe Mexicana, Psilocybe Tampanensis (Philosophers' Stones) or Psilocybe Atlantis. Although, as mentioned above 15 grams, or anywhere between 10 and 20 grams is the common dosage ball park when it comes to truffles as far as I'm aware.

Yeah, I know. Who knows what dosage is in shroom chocolates. Lol. Most of it is made by bulk which leaves an unpredictable amount in each individual piece.

I was talking general dried mushrooms in my next comment.

My source says that a dose of them is 4g, so what Solipsis said would be about right. But I took a 4g dose once and it was extremely underwhelming. I only have about 15g and was going to take all of it until I realized that something was wrong.

You do know that you can rehydrate dry truffles so that you wouldn't be trying to eat 'gravel'? Though I wouldn't recommend trying to weigh them rehydrated, I doubt that tells you what you want to know.

Count yourself lucky you didn't overdose on them. :)

You took a dose once of dry truffles? Probably not the same batch then? It is up to you if you want to play it safe by using 4 grams or less now, or rather 6 grams.

Same exact batch, and keeping that in mind they're probably pretty old at this point. They're also powdered and weren't kept in an airtight container; I'm pretty sure that powdered ethnobotanicals lose potency quicker.
I guess I should try 6g, but Im thinking that'll still be insufficient. I'll be seeing if I'm correct pretty soon and I'll report back.

Capsule the truffles up - dry em, crunch em to powder in a coffee grinder and capsule. Hey presto - no gravel to suck.

Rehydrating requires adding a little water and a tiny bit of time.
Grinding them requires a grinder and that generally sucks if only because you have more to clean up. And it probably ends up costing you even more time than a little soak. Plus you have to grind well, otherwise I wouldn't like the idea of dry hard stuff rehydrating in caps in my stomach.

But whatever floats your boat. :D

^^

Only a few grams of stuff tho solipsis - it's not exactly 50g of cactus flesh you've squirrelled away in your gut.
